Interview time was at today at 1pm (Romanian time) (3am our time) I waited a VERY painful 1hr and 45 min until I got the call from my F ... his words? Baby, I now declare us husband and wife!!

Was approved at interview yesterday (Montreal consulate), yay=) Now to figure out when we will be able to PoE. Good luck to everyone else !

Great news. His interview is September 26th at 8:30 am in Brisbane at Sydney Consulate. They explained everything on the phone to him and were super friendly. I'm pretty at ease now after hearing the conversation on speaker with the woman. It sounds pretty explanatory. He booked a 2 day stay hotel on the same street to make it even easier for us. I'm so excited.  The medical is September 14th, so he's leaving on the 12th since he's taking Trainlink to get there. Pretty affordable transportation. So all in all, medical is the 14th and interview is the 26th. If approved, I can see him having his visa by the beginning of October and since he has nothing keeping him in Australia, as soon as the visa is issued, he's booking his flight. Glad this is all figured out and now I get to anticipate this as well as be extremely nervous for him. Such a long process, but all so worth it now that were literally coming to the finish line. They told us the medical was roughly $500 AUS, plus he only needs the Varicella vaccination and they said they do it on the phone. They said for him to bring all of his vaccination records, passport, drink plenty of water, and laid everything out in detail on the phone. I think interview is my only worry as it stands. Probably worry a bit on his transportation, since I always worry about his safety (OCD and anxiety), but I think that's a given with all of us in LDR's. I'm just happy that everything is more simplified and all we have to do is organize our checklist. Plus, what better than it being September, and next month October. These have got to be two of my favorite months. Autumn is truly wonderful. 

OH MY GOSH. I don't mean to sound like a prepubescent teenage girl, but every time I come on VisaJourney, something wonderful happens. Just roughly 10 minutes ago, 12:36 am EST time, me and my fiancee discovered the email for packet 4. We literally just sent packet 3 back to the consulate on the 5th. Only a day and a half and we got packet 4. This is so exciting, and I can barely breathe. This is getting so real for me. I just wanna say how wonderful this is and for those who haven't reached this stage yet, just know that your turn is coming very shortly and when it does, the feeling is the best feeling in the world. I can definitely say that. I don't mean to sound like a braggart, but I just enjoy sharing my journey with all of you and like to hear the same from all of you other wonderful people here. This journey has been filled with a lot of stress, but it has made me a stronger person. I felt broken through most of this since we haven't seen eachother since December. It's been difficult, but each little milestone really gives you something to look forward to. To think shortly this will all be over and he'll be here in the states with me, is the best feeling ever. 

A quick update...
Ok, so my F had his medical and it was kinda different imo. They had him go back at a later time after doing his x-ray and checking some things and then they told him that he had swollen tonsils and will be sick in a couple of days and gave him a prescription and charged him extra money for "treating" him for his throat, but here is the thing.. he said he felt fine and doesn't feel sick at all so I am thinking that they just wanted to charge him extra money to make more money from him. He went back later in the day (3rd time) and picked up his sealed envelope to take to the embassy which is in about 14 hrs (no, I am not counting down or anything lol) Oh, and they charged him extra to get his results that day or they said his other option was to wait for the results that could take up to 2 weeks... another way for them to make more money  lol  

****** A side note for anyone going through Bucharest - They don't tell you ahead of time in the instructions, but the medical place requires quite a few passport style photos to be taken with you. My F was scrambling to get this done since he had scheduled his appt only 1 day in advance  lol

More good news today. Our case shows READY. Hopefully that lights a fire under the lawyer. Next step is scheduling the interview in Montreal for us, but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and we're close enough that we can start making some plans for the holidays.
 
I just finished the latest updates to the stats. First the breakdown by date. Starting to see quite a few 100%, and a lot of 85-90%. Still if you're at the end of the month, not as good, and you poor 3/10 people, someone needs to give you a medal:

A quick update...
Ok, so my F had his medical and it was kinda different imo. They had him go back at a later time after doing his x-ray and checking some things and then they told him that he had swollen tonsils and will be sick in a couple of days and gave him a prescription and charged him extra money for "treating" him for his throat, but here is the thing.. he said he felt fine and doesn't feel sick at all so I am thinking that they just wanted to charge him extra money to make more money from him. He went back later in the day (3rd time) and picked up his sealed envelope to take to the embassy which is in about 14 hrs (no, I am not counting down or anything lol) Oh, and they charged him extra to get his results that day or they said his other option was to wait for the results that could take up to 2 weeks... another way for them to make more money  lol  

****** A side note for anyone going through Bucharest - They don't tell you ahead of time in the instructions, but the medical place requires quite a few passport style photos to be taken with you. My F was scrambling to get this done since he had scheduled his appt only 1 day in advance  lol
