the I-130A contents all the information asked in the g325A, so no, you do need it.

The police report for Venezuela works completely online (they email it to you).
The family can leave the country, and 2/3 weeks before the interview request it through the website.

OP, just make sure to have all the rest of the documents updated before leaving, since you probably know is a hell to get certain documents in Venezuela such: birth certificates, marriage certificates, passports, apostilles and any validation. Make sure all the names are written correctly, since is very common for them to make mistakes, and they are visible only after showing then to international institutions/entities.

Check the price for medical examination and vaccination in the country you are going to, since they can change drastically.
In Venezuela there is no access to most of vaccinations, but some private clinics provide them for a high price. It would be helpful if you can get them in Venezuela since they would be probably cheaper than outside.

yep, I think it might be related with Nebraska suddenly deciding to wokr faster. People that filled 2 and even 3 months after my PD got approved almost at the same time than me.

You are still lucky, in many other embassies takes way longer than 2 months to schedule the interview. You are so close to finish

Sorry to hear of your story. How much time passed between you meeting him and getting married to him?

You probably need to accept that you are going to lose quite a bit of money no matter what in this situation. Federal immigration law is totally separate from state divorce law. I would imagine that he is still entitled to half of whatever you made during the marriage regardless of his immigration intentions.  So you will either lose the money to him or to a lawyer in the end unfortunately.

I just want to point out that these situations also happen all the time between US citizens. How many people do we all know that got married, found out the person wasn't really who they thought and had a nasty expensive divorce? Probably you know more than one. It can happen to anyone. So don't beat yourself up too badly. Next time you find someone, really take your time and get to know them/live together for at least a couple of years before getting married.

On the flip side, there are immigrants who come with good intentions in a marriage to a US citizen, and those US citizens completely take advantage of them. I've read cases where the immigrant followed all the rules, did everything correctly, and got screwed over by their US citizen spouse making false claims to the authorities.

No, you need to call NVC with regularity in order for them to give you a case number.
Is not just after receiving your NOA2, the status of your case at USCIS must had changed to: "Sent to DOS". After 1 week or 2 they received, you should be able to get it.
However, after February 2018, NVC turned really slow, I've been waiting since 2/7 for a case number and nothing yet.

OP, If your parents have been in the US that long, they should have assimilated into US culture so your reasons for your mother needing her sister or someone from the Philippines to care for here illogical. They should be more comfortable in English than any other language and have made friends of all ethnic backgrounds.  They should be more comfortable with Americans than with Filipinos. To claim that they are only comfortable with people from their native country is their problem.  In fact, it speaks against them and your encouragement of their narrow minded thinking.

From experience I know that elderly people regress into childish behavior and the child must become the adult.  If your parents need help, they need to hire someone; the ethnic background or race of the caregiver is irrelevant.   The sooner you accept the fact that you acquiescing to their unreasonable expectation says a lot about you and  it is not positive.  You say you own a business; do you only have customers/clients who are recent immigrants from the Philippines? I suspect not.  I also suspect that they would not be your customers/clients for long if they knew you will not hire USCs or LPRs to work in your home.

Well, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Might be useful for others to hear all about this who are keen to get that I-130 for their parents in the mail before the ink's dry on their citizenship certificate.

This is the reality of immigrating later in life - language problems, feeling ostracized, not feeling comfortable around locals, aside from the myriad of health issues.

Well 'newsflash' for you susieQQQ, my aunt is not like the people that you know who breaks the law and overstays.  My aunt is doing this because she cares and loves her sister.  susieQQQ- i really feel bad for you... you are so jaded, you fail to see the niceness in people.

ha!  humanitarian parole - i didn't know there is such a thing.
love sharing the other options/possibilities but i don't like to share things i haven't researched myself.  i thought getting in on this forum means getting some ideas, positive vibe/support, but instead i'm getting a lot of pessimistic and rude comments.  geowrian, you are an exception.  your comments were realistic but not borderline rude and negative, unlike some.  love to help people stay in my country legally without having to worry about how long your legal status will last - as i can see most of you are waiting on some visa status of some sort but knowledge and kindness will get you places so stop being rude!!!  i know what's on my plate, i know my situation... i'm asking if someone has had the same experience.  if you haven't, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM MAKING A COMMENT.

I'm certainly no expert on DACA, I don't understand how a person can gain that status "because he first came here with his family when he was 9 y/o and he was in school for about a year before returning to Mexico'.  It seems reasonable to me that the DACA status would be null and void after leaving the US, then illegally crossing the border at age 17.....smh.

The child would be a USC and could petition for a parent when they turn 21. This assumes the parent category still exists in 21 years...which may or may not be the case (it is being discussed to be on the chopping block). If you don't fully fund the bill for the birth of the child, you're going to have a bad time in the future. CBP is likely to deny entry if they believe you are coming to the US to give birth, unless you can show that 1) you intend to leave, 2) you already have plans and payment worked out with the provider. Note that the cost can be tens of thousands USD for a no-complications birth, and hundreds of thousands or more if there are issues.
