Out of every post you have seen here or anywhere in the internet, find me one where a person was denied exit. If your things are in order and your fiance has a strong confident attitude it will be a breeze. Make sure your fiance has all dates regarding your relationship committed to memory. I made a cheat sheet for my wife to study. When we first met, how we met, when we first met in person, each visit I made there, etc. Doing that helps her to have confidence. If you give her or allow her to have as much negativity about the process as you just posted above, it will hurt her not help her.

I won't engage in any debate about my location - believe whatever you want sir, but I do see from the replies, I did allow my emotions to get in the way of my fingers. For that I should say that I didn't mean to offend anyone. If you read my post carefully I clearly stated " I value and respect the spirit of the description that the CFO program portrays itself as being..." and I think you may have missed that part. In any case, I will take the best advice here about resolving my attitude on all of this subject and devote the little energy I have left to continuing to offer a positive mindset and supportive spirit for my fiancé. It's just very frustrating to learn about this here at the end (entirely our fault btw).

CFO used to be a simple little annoyance where emigrants and OFW's had to go down and attend their seminar after they got their visa. In the grand scheme of dealings with Philippine Gobrnment bureaucracies, it was probably rated about a signal 2 at most.  During the period of time when the entire nation lost its mind over Chinese-rona-virus, CFO somehow morphed itself into some tyrannical gatekeeper of the nation.  It extended itself way beyond anything it was ever intended for.  Earlier this year as hysteria subsided and overseas travel resumed en mass, CFO kind of collapsed under their own weight and was thrashing around with no clarity at all what the hell they were even supposed to be doing.  People were noticing appointments were scarce, dates were getting pushed way out into the future, Filipino tourists were getting offloaded, the whole thing was melting down.  It seems with the most recent developments they are more or less going back to their original mission of being a simple little annoyance where emigrants and OFW's have to go down and attend their seminar after they get their visa.  So hopefully things are settling down and getting back to normal so it is going back to being no big deal again.

Young teens?  As far as I can tell, running down to the store to buy beer, some smokes and a bottle of Empi is generally a task delegated to 5 or 6 year olds.😉

What a clueless post. Typical American entitled attitude, nothing new.

You claim to be in the PH since January but I very much doubt it. If you did you would know the situation for most people in PH, and how a lot of them would believe/do anything if it meant there was a chance to support their family, including going abroad.

The fact it inconveniences you personally is a very selfish attitude, CFO is there as an extra layer of security to ensure those going abroad will not end up in any harm. If just one person is saved then it's worth it for everyone to spend time and money to get it.

Not to mention CFO is very easy as well as fast to get. Is it perfect? No, but it's certainly not the overly dramatic worst thing in the world like you imply.

If you don't like the laws of the country you are in then maybe go back to your precious USA, I don't you will be missed with your attitude.

Really? I built a house there, did not need to apply, file, pay for a building permit. I didn't even need blueprints from an architect. I hired people to build it, told them what I wanted, done. Try that in our free country. My wife had a store that her mom still operates there. If she wants to sell something, she buys it then sells it. Cigarettes, alcohol, beer, food, as long as it's not anything illegal. Try that in our free country. I could go on but you get the point.

I don't know if I will get flack for this, but Filipinos love to worry and will go out of their way to find reasons to worry. Just a heads up

All she needs is your passport to apply for the CFO.  Then the counselor will decide, what if any additional documents are needed.

Nonetheless what we did is to also send then them our documented photo album in hopes when she see's how nice it is, that they won't ask for additional documents.

They just said since you applied for a K-1, and that requires all the documents, we don't need anymore documents and gave her the CFO. It only took 2-3 days from signing up online for the online CFO to get the certificate

If you request an expedite from the LCR sometimes you can get it in as fast as 2 weeks. If not 6 months would be a realistic number. The reason I chose CR1 over K1 was once she arrived here we were done and it is also less expensive. K1 once you arrive you are only half way through the immigration process.

In the realm of love, where dreams intertwine,
A journey begins, a path to align.
Let me craft a poem, to empathize and share,
The stress of bringing your love, with utmost care.

From the Philippines to the USA's shore,
    A K-1 visa, a process to explore.
    The anticipation, the paperwork's weight,
Navigating the system, a daunting state.

The distance between, aching hearts apart,
Yearning for the day, when you'll never part.
The waiting, the longing, the endless desire,
To be together, to ignite love's fire.

Forms to be filled, documents to obtain,
Proof of love, a relationship to sustain.
Patience tested, as time slowly goes by,
Hoping for approval, with a heartfelt sigh.

But amidst the stress, remember the love,
The bond that's unbreakable, soaring above.
Support each other, through every trial faced,
Knowing that love's strength cannot be erased.

Hold onto hope, for the day will arrive,
When your Filipina fiancé will thrive,
In the land of opportunity, side by side,
Building a future, with love as your guide.

So, embrace the journey, though stress may arise,
Love will conquer, as it always implies.
May your hearts find solace, as you endure,
Knowing that love's power is steadfast and pure.

The only way for you and her to know the requirements 100% for sure is for her to go to her Municipal building and ask. Every area has slight and subtle difference that you will not find searching the internet.

Every relationship has it's hurdles whether local or long distance. The government does not stand in the way, they have a door and a process to go through that door. No one is standing in your way. You could move to the PH tomorrow. Probably not in your life plans, but then that's you sanding in your way not the government right? If you choose this path, it's the path you choose so stop complaining about the government standing in your way.

I really really try to help you, but you make it very hard sometimes. I have been there done that. You will need 3 weeks. Whenever a Pinay says "they said" or "my friend said" you can't take it as fact. Ask her to go to her Municipal/LCR and get the facts on what she needs to marry a foreigner. Write them down and then have the person that she is speaking to read what she wrote and confirm that it is all correct. Once you plan this out you cannot afford a mistake. Thinking you can do this in 2 weeks is a major mistake.

Above anything else I tell you make sure that she goes to her LCR and asks if there is a process to expedite the PSA certificate. Then make sure that you use that process.

Don't believe them. it takes 10 business days just to get the marriage license, counting weekends, that's already 2 weeks. Plus there are not too many, if any churches that will marry people without going through their premarital counseling and other hoops they make you jump through.

Plus several months at least after that to get the marriage certificate needed to file for the CR-1.  Plus the time until you acually return to get married. Thats why I said if you want a church wedding a K-1 is going to be faster if all you care about is the time until she gets to the USA.  But this whole topic is way premature since you haven't met her yet, except for my post above for what you need to do on your next trip, as a bare minimum, just in case you do decide to file for a K-1 after you meet.   You could even prepare her 2x2 photo and intent letters while you are there to make it easier.

Of course we will be meeting in person, but we do have a great connection going and we are just trying to be proactive and plan because given the process if we connect in person we would want to keep moving forward and be prepared. Its all just planning of course, ideas, etc, because we certainly need to meet in person and spend time together to see if that connection remains. But a bit of preparation and knowing how the process goes can save us alot of time as well.
