You have more important things to worry about now we are all sure. It's just the nature of things, time moves on and different things take importance.  :)    So don't feel bad about continuing your journey.  I hear there is a top notch Hamburger Place famous for their soft ice cream cones in Bountiful called Paces Dairy Ann, go check it out!

Lol, you have to be joking me! We live next door to Paces Dairy Ann  I guess next time we are trying one of those famous ice cream cones

And yes, you totally get the feeling on how priorities seem to change as you continue with the journey.

We've been talking about when our next big step might be, and it seems like December 1st is a firm candidate :o

Hello Everyone! My fiance had her interview yesterday - October 27 6:40 AM at USEM and we got approved! :dancing:

I was with her during the entire process and I was also asked a few questions by both Filipino and American consuls. Everything went very smooth! They did not even ask for the affidavit of support or pictures. All those stressful nights and torturous wait just disappeared. :P

A warm thank you to everyone here for all your guidance and support. May we all have a blessed and happy journey ahead! :)

    Congratulations! :jest:

I had my POE on 25th October in New York  ! my flight from Moscow to Atlanta was so easy and comfortable ! so, I am in Snellville now and forever!

Darrel and I, we are so happy !!!  my layover in New York was 2 h 55 min, so I felt calm... process of POE was short, about 10 minutes,  and very pleasant , I gave my passport, yellow envelope and then waited about 5 minutes in the room , where the girl put all my information into state electronic form, ... the I went by internal train to 4th terminal and I've been waiting for my flight to Atlanta about 1 hour.

My Darrel met me with so lovely  white roses , look like big wedding flowers...we came home in 30 minutes... my new family of both of us... my home, my new car, large back yard, our swing ) met me ... when I got inside, there were many big lovely balloons, there are written Tanya, Welcome Home !  Love you always and forever ! ... and many other touching things...

my granddaughter Sonya called us today, by her own... my daughter Kristina did not know even that she is calling us ))))))))))))

... I came from the winter to the summer ! ))) flowers and green trees are around our home ! I will put some pictures later, just so much new information for me ...the house is big, when I put any thing wherever, then I look for it for a while ))))

I enjoy so much, no distance between us more....

We wish all of you guys great happiness together ! Big hugs

Most beautiful message I've read on here in a long long while. Every word there distills love and enthusiasm for a new life and it's just so moving

Wishing you two for the most wonderful life together :)

Sharing something with y'all.    Ann is well on her way and I am so happy to say that she is now on the same side of the world as me :D:D:D:D We are both in the same sunshine and in the same continent.  https://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL88

This website tracks about any flight you want so you know where they are in the world.   Waiting on a P O E is kinda like waiting on uscis, but this tracker actually works :D

Sooooo, looks like we will be on South Beach tonight!!    Woo Hoo!!

So happy for you! Get the fireworks ready for tonight to celebrate the (almost) end of this part of the journey :jest:

Is there any other document that needs to be translated?

To prepare and do it here in mexico, it will be cheaper thanin the USA i think

I only got my birth certificate translated, because when I quickly checked the info on what I'll be needing for AOS I understood I wouldn't need the police clearance in my case... Don't remember exactly who might need that one, so maybe you want to double check the instructions (I think only certain countries need it).

Thank you for sharing.. is that process described somewhere on visajourney?
And what does 'sworn translation' mean?

    9 minutes ago, CopperChem said:

Sworn Translation is a notarized translation of the document. If the birth certificate isn't in english you need to have a translated copy.

    Exactly! :)

on the ds160 form is asks "intended date of arrival" is this where i put what day i plan to buy his ticket and have him come to the United States on? i plan to buy it dec21 but i want to put dec 12 so i KNOW its here an in his hand...what should i put?

You have to indicates your estimates POE date. They know you are guessing because it depends on what you end getting your visa in hand, so don't give it too much thought.

Regarding your other question, I marked yes because I had my olld vaccine registration from when I was a kid plus I knew I would have the DS3025 from the medical at the time of the interview.

We discussed the topic here before a nd other people said they marked no because they didn't have documentation at that very moment... and I think they said it asked for clarification when you mark no so you can explain your answer. So not really that important either. Go with whatever is more accurate for you or you feel more comfortable with.

Visa in hand today! It's an awesome feeling. I thank God for giving us knowledge and strength through this process. I'm so thankful for our Aprilites family with the wealth of information and encouragement that was shared.  Congratulations to everyone for making progress with your K1 journey.

    Big congrats! :jest:

Thanks Estibaliz. Was your I-94 record when you POE’d recently already published on the https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home site when you applied?

    I’m wondering

    - how long it takes for that site to update after POE

    - if the SS officers use the same db (presumably so)

Of course I forgot to mention the i94 on my previous post :P

I checked on Sunday (two days after my POE) and saw it was already updated and available, so that was the reason why I decided to give it a try on Monday :) I have the same doubt about them using the same DB or not, but I guess we'll somehow know depending on how long it takes for my card to arrive.

Quick Question, What the difference between the I134 and the I184, the email is stating to bring in I134 and website from the Embassy is suggesting the I184 for Fiance Visa??

K1's do the i134, though most Embassies mention the i864 on their websites, since usually the information is generic for both spousal and fiance visas. Go ahead with what the email says and don't even hesitate on what's the correct form. i134 it is :)

does somebody know this answer to this question...

a Consule in Warsaw definitely looks through pictures that one brings to the interview...

so am I supposed to print out all the photos we've put into the original petition or am I supposed to bring new ones...

and if new ones - do they want to see only photos from AFTER the petition was filed or the photos from the WHOLE length of the relationship?

    confused...

I can only give you my opinion on the matter, as they never asked for my pictures during the interview and what I had with me there were just about the same ones we had sent with the original package, since we hadn't seen each other during the whole process.

I think you should focus on the new meetings, but no harm in adding a couple of meaningful ones from past visits. Keep in mind that quality is more relevant than quantity when it comes to this matter, so a few with family and friends and different visits, emphasizing the new ones, should suffice.

Love the photo shoot!!!!  It looked like a lot of fun.  Congratulations on your POE - it's the finish line, and you did the journey so well - always with finesse and grace.     It has been one great experience - a time we will all remember and I for one am so happy for you being in the same place in the same time that I was.  We've discussed, teased, encouraged, and fretted over so many little things, and I am most glad that I have a friend in you.  Have a great adventure together, live every day.  I'll see ya around in these many VJ threads in the future, including this one for a little while longer.

Thank you for your oh so kind words. You brought me to the very verge of tears, and that's not an easy task with me :P

Glad to have encountered you in the journey too :)

    wooow this is sooo cool!!!

we can't wait to see more of this cool photoshoot... and of course the wedding!

now we have more countdowns, not just NOA2, but your wedding and the cool pix :D

Our wedding is going to be really low key, so not much to expect there :P

About the photoshoot... well, we just got today all the pictures to review and select what we want for the physical copies. Over 350 pictures! Lol, that's going to be almost as fun as the shoot itself was :D

Congratulations!  So happy for you and Gary to be together here. Hopefully Tuyen will be here next month.  Did they send you electronic notification when your visa was issued?

A few hours after my visa was issued I got emails from both the Embassy and the postal service with my tracking number.

Hope Tuyen can be here soon too :)

Good morning everyone!! Question for my all-knowing Aprilites... once our fiance's arrive, is there anything we need to do before we get married? I've been so focused on the visa that I haven't thought beyond that. As always, thanks for your Intel!

    7 minutes ago, MeliiGo said:

How do you get the SSN without being married first?

There's a guide here on VJ to help you out with that part too. Actually, I've just finished printing all my paperwork and forms to go and try to get my SSN today. The i94 is ready, so I guess it depends on the SSN having the info updated on their system too. I'll let you know how that goes.

Also I'm not changing my name after getting married, so no need to come back there until EAD issued, I think... so having my SSN number will be useful to add me to the rental contract and to get me a bank account ASAP. Yay!
