An update from our side -- after 6 weeks of administrative processing/review, my husband's visa was issued. 
His passport and original birth certificate were returned to us in Denmark today. We have waited over 800 days (almost 2 years 3 months) for this moment. 

OMG Im super excited I just recieved a email that our interview has been cancelled but we've never scheduled one. I hope they send the expedite is approved email and then the Embassy interview appointment date email very soon it would make us so happy. I'll keep you posted

I'm a little late to the party but I'm in the process of immigrating on an IR-1! Moving from 🇸🇪!
 
We are now two years into trying to close the gap, and this week the day has finally come. Our interview is on Friday. So nervous!!! 😰

We were in Stockholm for the medical and managed to get it done in less than 2 hours, but it was very tight. X-ray & blood test is at the near by hospital (10-15 minute walk)

We just had out interview in July, there were only two other people in the embassy (one interview and one child passport appt) plus my husband. They wouldn't let us in earlier than 15 minutes before (we showed up an hour early and the guy told us to get a cup of coffee!). He was in there for about 1.5 hrs, but they had a fire alarm go off in the middle (?!) So that took some extra time.

On Friday, we emailed the embassy that we have re-prepared all our documents and are ready for my husbands interview to be rescheduled, and Monday they emailed us back that they have scheduled him for August 25!! So excited but nervous at the same time!

We got an email from the embassy this morning. We officially have an interview date for August 28th! So stoked to be nearing the end of this long process!!

You guys, I am SOOO excited! ☺️😊
My original interview date that I selected was August 17th because it was the earliest one available.
 
I checked the booking site to see if there were any new dates and they now have August 6th
The relevance of that date is it's going to be our second wedding anniversary!!
 
I immediately rescheduled to the 6th. I'm going to let my husband think it's still booked for the 17th, and I plan to surprise my him on the day
 
Hopefully it will be positive and something along the lines of "Surprise, I had my interview today and got approved, happy anniversary!!"
If that's the case, it'll be the best anniversary gift in the world 💙

We received an interview notice this morning with an appointment on August 18th 😄

So glad to see this thread popping with such good news!! I'm so happy for all of you! While the embassy may not be processing K1s, atleast it means there will be less of a backlog when they do! ❤️❤️❤️

I was a bit inspired by the previous couples getting expedites, so I decided to try it for myself! We've been waiting for DQ at the NVC stage (only had a RFE on one form left), but I did not want to wait any longer. I emailed the embassy with the request, and they responded a couple days later asking me to email NVC instead since we weren't DQ'ed yet. I did that on Sunday night (7/19), and this morning (7/23), we got an email saying the embassy "is willing to expedite this case" once the NVC has reviewed everything. We got DQ shortly after, so just waiting to hear from the embassy now!

Husband had his interview in Prague today..........APPPPPPPRRRROOOOVVVEEEDD!!!!!!! The man at the embassy said he should have his visa in hand in 3-5 business days!!!

I totally understand being a nervous wreck - me 48 hrs ago!
When we submitted the 1-864, we only had 2018 tax returns (plus an explanation of why I didn't file in 2017).
Nobody asked for the 2019 tax returns, but I thought they would want it to be as up to date as possible. So we brought the 2019 taxes along and then they scanned them into their system.
I would definitely not redo the i-864, unless something changed very dramatically.

No nothing has changed, I've been worried about it because its very difficult for me to have access to a printer and scanner because ours broke awhile ago 😢. But oh my goodness you've made my day you don't understand thank you so very much for being a sweetheart and easing my worries.

So I'm curious did you submit to the NVC I-864 form that you got DQ with the recent tax year 2018 or 2019? 
 
Because I'm a nervous wreck if I need a new I-864 in short notice. 
 
Because our recent tax year we submit was 2018 on our I-864.

WRONG, our marriage date is Feb 6. 😲
 
I am going to need to make him study for these SIMPLE questions. I want to laugh and cry at the same time.

He did the medical exam this morning. We were able to stop back at the embassy to drop off the extra required documents. 
The doctor said that the medical exam should be at the embassy in about 10 days!
