If you have a copy of the entire packet, get it and review it. Perhaps you mischecked information on the I-485?

What amount of money did you send for it? While the rejection states about the apparent eligibility and such payment could be a reason...

they sent it all back, I don't see anything wrong.

    we sent $1225

Based on the rejection notice, it seems you did not submit  a copy of the approval notice of i129F. Did you include that?

    Yes we did.

It was even in the package they sent back to us.

Awesome - hope you get it tomorrow (or this morning for you!)

yes, i picked up my passport today in the morning from pony express at moscow kurskaya office!!! very happy.  finally visa in hands!!! also with passport they give one envelope with papers, and you are prohibited to open this. you should give it to custom officer when you enter USA. so we plan to buy the ticket for next saturday)))everything is ready actualy and i can fly tomorrow or right now...but just want to have these several days to say bye bye to friends and just walk in moscow and enjoy it...of course we will come to visit Russia again and not once, but i do not know when, so want to say bye to it  for now))) its a bit weird feeling when you know that you are leaving your place for a long time...mixture of feeling, happy and excited but also a bit sad...ive been traveling a lot in my life, and i know this feeling, and right now its much more excitement than sadness))) im very happy to fly to my fiance and begin a family life!

after interview it appeared AP and hang like this looong time...yesterday it changed to Application recieved , today it changed to AP again but i read this is OK and the next status is expected to be issued or ready. seems like they gave the case to another department to stamp visa and after they give it for delivery...as i understood

Man sorry to hear that.  It is good it is not canceled though.

I will be scheduling my interview soon.  Hope the delay for us is not too long.

    Good Luck!!!

hi) i see you made appointment at the end of october) nice!!! just want to tell you to be ready to wait some time also after interview...my interview was on 31 of august and i still do not have passport with visa in hands, but i got the phone call yesterday from embassy and they told i will get my visa SOON. (i hope within several days, maybe one week......as the satus at ceac website changed already) but in any way it has been 3 weeks after interview already...so its not like 2-4 days of waiting for visa in hands, unfortunately...wish you GOOD LUCK at your interview, keep us posted about news, fingers crossed for you!))hope in october everything is going to be faster and you will get visa without any delays

  5. Interview was August 31st. She was told the Visa was approved and she should have the passport in about a week. I called the embassy hotline and opened a case on the 12th and was told we would receive an email within 3 to 5 business days. Ceac website still says AP. Then we noticed this morning that the status of the case in her online login changed to on hold. Does anyone know what this means?

Congrats on the approval. I could only imagine the excitement to get back home after such amazing news, but Ive always heard NEVER book your flights until you have your travel documents in hand. I hope that your visa arrives in time for your departure. Best wishes to the both of you going forward..

You are right about booking))) we just check our luck...if passport delays...wekl,we will delay flight with payng some airlne fee...

How did they notify you of the delay? Since mine is in September I don't think I will run into an issue - it seems they are canceling and moving dates on pre September 1 interviews and everyone after that date must go to Moscow from now on.

Where are you going to get married in Vegas? I will probably do the same. My fiance is a big fan of the show Tanked and they did an aquarium at The Casino Wedding Chapel & Garden so we will probably do it there and have a Disney wedding later next year.

    1. The Embassy called Alya on the phone to notify.

    2. We have not decided yet, open to suggestions!

When can I start to complete the Affidavit of Support (I-134)? Is it alright if the supporting documents are obtained a few months before the embassy interview? We're expecting our NOA2 in the next couple months, and I want to get everything taken care of as soon as possible so there aren't any unexpected delays.

    Thanks,
    Matt

hi, you have plenty of time. My fiance completed i 134 after we got NOA2 and even after nvc number. Its better if all documents for interview have closer dates to interview date, (we provide i 134 and also letter from his employe)so its a bit early for you. What you can do now - ask yor fiancee to apply for russian police certificate. it takes 1 month to get it and its valid 1 year, so you can begin now and it will make you feel that the process is coming faster)  waiting for noa2 is pretty frustrating...good luck!
