Rfe received - 04/2017(resent mostly same stuff again)
[Moved to another state - 07/2017]
Vawa I-485 interview - 03/2020 (old state field office)
Notification interview complete and case must be reviewed
I-360 Approval - 06/2020
Rfe 485 for birth certificate - 07/2020
Rfe received - 08/2020
Vawa I-485 notice for interview again in my current state field office on - 10/2020
I-485 interview - 12/16/20
Rfe 485 paystubs and employment letter 17th the next day
Rfe received at local office 12/28/20
NOID due to.........address history not in line and advised to file form 601 waiver - 03/18/21
NOID responded with form 601 receipt notice and received - 04/27/21
Case status changed on 485 to card in production on - 06/30/21 
 
I'm speechless, in tears and my heart is in shock. I just went on my knees to say a prayer for everyone in this journey. It's not over until it's over

My I-485 was approved yesterday  Thanks to everyone here for providing guidance and answering questions 😀😘❤️

Here is my timeline. My local office is Dallas, Texas. 

Dec 2018 - I-360/I-485/I765/I-131 filed 
June 2020 - RFE (Police clearance from home country)
June 2020 - Sent mail to USCIS with required docs
Nov 2020 - VAWA approved
Jan 2021 - Case moved to local office.
May 2021 - Case is ready to be scheduled for interview. But USCIS scheduled it in different state where my attorney is. Attorney contacted USCIS asking to reschedule in Dallas
June 2021 - Interview rescheduled in Dallas for June 25th
June 25, 2021 - New card is being produced
June 28, 2021 - Case is approved for I-485
 
Interview went about 30 min
- No VAWA questions asked. 
- Asked questions from I-485 - Yes or No and Bio. related
- Asked about my arrival/departure dates to/from USA
- Asked about divorce date and my current marital status
- Asked if I am currently employed
- Only took medical envelope. No other docs asked.
 
The officer took my biometrics and said my status will change by end of day. Status changed to card is being produced in 3 hrs.

A man dies and goes to Hell.  Once there, he finds that there is a different hell for each country, so he tries to seek out the least painful one.
 
At the door to German Hell, he is told, "First, they put you in an electric chair for an hour.  Next, they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour.  Then, the German Devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day."
 
He doesn't like the sound of that, so he checks out American Hell, Russian Hell, and many more.  They are all similarly gruesome.
 
However, at Italian Hell, a long line of people is waiting to get in.  Amazed, he asks, "What do they do here?"

"But that's the same as the others," says the man.  "Why are so many people waiting to get in?"
 
"Because of the power outages, the electric chair doesn't work.  The nails were paid for but were never supplied, so the bed is quite comfortable.  And the Italian Devil used to be a civil servant, so he comes in, signs his time sheet, and goes back home to sleep and conduct his own private business."
 

My Vawa was finally approved after I got my C31 card since January 2020… I’m so happy, thanks for all the encouragements. The next thing is 1485, hopefully soon. March 2018 filer

Afternoon all
got a rfe few weeks ago for to post medical in posted them 2 weeks ago and today status online has changed to new card been produced I’m hoping that means green card I’m in New York office
 

I just wanted to return to thank everyone on this thread for their help. No my VAWA is not approved yet but I started the process.
 
When i decided to leave my abusive spouse I was very anxious about loosing my work permit. I came here with so many questions and they were answered. I attended the our I-130 interview alone and did not have my VAWA receipt notice yet. I only had a proof of delivery. The IO was very stern about my wife not attending. She told me was going to deny my I -130 and may also deny my I-485 even though I had a letter telling them to hold it in abeyance. I should her the police report, restraining order, copies of therapy sessions with domestic violence solutions but she said she was not sure if she can keep my I-485 pending and would have to go back to see what the law says. I showed her pictures of I and my spouse together, the IO made comments like "you guys look so happy together, what happened", "you mean this lady hit you", "is that the only injury you sustained", "did you ever hit her back". Those comments triggered me and I did my best to stay calm and referred her to the police report.
 
The good news is yesterday I received my vawa receipt and today my i-485 status changed to "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction" . I am also glad she did not deny my I-485 😀

O lord let this new thread bring us more success and approval Amen 🙏

THE DUCK RULE
 
Three guys died together in an accident and went to Heaven.  When they got there, St. Peter said, "We have only one rule here in Heaven -- don't step on the ducks!"
 
The guys entered Heaven, and, sure enough, there were ducks all over the place.  It was almost impossible not to step on any, and although they tried their best to avoid them, the first guy accidentally stepped on one.
 
Along came St. Peter with the ugliest woman that the guy had ever seen.  St. Peter chained them together and said, "Your punishment for stepping on a duck is to spend eternity chained to this ugly woman!"
 
The next day, the second guy accidentally stepped on a duck.  Along came St. Peter, and with him was another extremely ugly woman.  He chained them together with the same admonishment as for the first guy.
 
The third guy observed all this.  Not wanting to be chained for all eternity to an ugly woman, he was very, VERY careful where he stepped.
 
He managed to go months without stepping on a duck.  One day, St. Peter came up to him with the most gorgeous woman he had ever laid eyes on -- a tall, tan, curvaceous, traffic-stopping blonde.  St. Peter chained them together without saying a word.
 
The guy said to the blonde, "I wonder what I did to deserve being chained to you for all of eternity?"
 
She said, "I don't know about you, but I stepped on a duck!"
 

I finally got my 1-765 (C09) card in the mail. I never receive the receipt. I was surprised to see the card and the approval letter in the mail box
Timeline - 02/16/2021 - date receipt    
                   06/ 15/ 2021 - card mail.
4 months exactly. Also, I got 2 years 
 
I want to ask, how do I get the SSN . Are they going to send it to mail or I need to apply for it.

👋🏼 Hello everyone, I don’t usually log in much here, 😭 but this group was the first one I came up when I started my journey with Vawa back in 2018, I did it alone, no lawyer just a 23 year girl with hopes on the ground in life in hope of a better future, was in abusive marriage and felt worthless in a country where she could absolutely do nothing. I was dependent on my abuser and I hated it because I was living hell, and God knows all the stress and struggle I endured, but thru this hard time, it made me stronger much more than that girl that started Vawa, and relying on this website was my only hope with the future I wanted and desired but couldn’t have, but thanks to God, the waiting is over 🙌🏼 and I couldn’t thank him enough for my struggles and the ups and downs. Yes this is a piece of card but this represents more than that, its my freedom , the freedom I always wanted but couldn’t have.

Vermont Service Center is changing Address,  All mail and correspondence everything should be sent to the new address Effectively June 14, 2021 Mail sent to the old address will be forward to the new address for a period of one year, after June 22, 2022  if any mail or application is sent to the old address will be returned to sender.

UNEXPECTED DIVINE INTERVENTION
 
A painter named Jack was interested in making a dollar whenever he could, so he would often thin down his paint to make it go a wee bit further.  As it happened, he got away with this for some time.
 
Eventually, the local church decided to undertake a big restoration project.  Jack put in a painting bid, and, because his price was so competitive, he got the job.  He started by erecting the trestles, putting up the planks, buying the paint, and of course thinning the paint with turpentine.
 
Jack was up on the scaffolding, painting away, the job nearly done, when suddenly there came a deafening clap of thunder.  The sky opened and rain poured down, washing all the thin paint off of the church.  Jack fell off the scaffold and landed on the lawn.
 
Jack was no fool.  He knew that this was a judgment from the Almighty, so he fell on his knees and cried, "Oh, God, forgive me!  What should I do?"
 
And amid the thunder, a mighty Voice spoke:  "Repaint!  Repaint, and thin no more!"

I cried almost all day, God is really amazing it’s been 21 years am in this country, I could finally hop on a plane without being scared or even apply for jobs that requires a green card, thanks to everyone especially @Stillwinning!!!😊and so many who give advice and support….. thank you🙏🏾

Looks like USCIS is going back to their previous policy of requesting RFEs instead of denying applications outrightly. Great news.
