The thing is, most evidence that they ask for depends on having a SSN. What you can do is: 
 
- Open a joint bank account
- Add him as a user to the credit cards like you did
- make sure your IDs match (address)
- add him to your health insurance if you have one
- Add him as a beneficiary to your 401K if you have one
- Add him as a beneficiary to your life insurance if you have one
- List him as emergency contact at work 
- Bring a lot of pictures
- Maybe a couple of signed (and notarized) affidavits from friends that know the two of you

So, I just called USCIS and spent 45 minutes on the phone waiting for an agent to answer and got an update.

My case was received on April 16th (even though they were delivered April 9th) and I got all receipt numbers and should have the physical copy before the May 16th.

Today is definitely a good day!

In about a week or so, assuming you won't get lost in Lockbox Limbo, you should get paper NOA1 for I-485, I-131, and I-765. We got 3 of those but apparently some only get 2, with I-765 and I-131 being combined. A week or so after that you should get NOA for biometrics, that will cover both I-485 and I-765 (should be 2 bard codes on that form) You do not need to do appointment yourself, it will be made for you, and date is printed on that biometric notice. Having said that, some were successful in doing "walk ins" for biometrics before their official appointment date (We did 10 days earlier walkin) 
 
After that, assuming no RFIE/RFE, you enter long wait while your form I-485 and I-765 enter a derby race. I-765 and I-131 are processed at NBC with everyone else, while I-485 processed locally near where you live. For some people it means their I-485 will "win" the race which obsoletes I-765 and I-131. For others, I-485 will lag behind, and those folks will get their EAD card first. Current VJ projected timeline for EAD is about 3-5 months. I-485 is all over the place depending on your local processing center.

I have a friend who's been a green card holder for years, and used to come to the US every 5 months for a few days and they actually took away her green card at JFK and scheduled an interview with an officer a couple of months after and basically told her "Either you give it up willingly and be able to apply for a US Visa or fight it and you won't be admitted to the US anymore."

I think this was just bullsh*t because a good lawyer could have fought it and won, but, she wasn't up for a fight and they basically scared her.

I was chatting with an immigration attorney and he was saying that he rarely sees anyone's request for expediting the process get approved. You guys are lucky and your case probably ended up with one of the few good officers at USCIS. Congrats!

You should get it soon. Our appointment was for May 16th, but we did a walk in on the 6th, and they let us in. So that part is out of the way! Status changed this morning to "ready to schedule interview"! 

I received my Biometrics appointment for May 14th. I also checked my status this morning and see that a "request for initial evidence" was mailed to me on May 2nd,... I have no idea what it could be for but I'm nervous now. 

Still no sign of my NOA1, i called up USCIS this morning and they had no record of it and told me to wait til 30 days had passed. I told them that that would be outside of my visa expiry date and they didn't seem too worried, just told me to call Customs and Border Protection and to tell them the situation. I did that and the lady there had no idea what i was on about and was like "why on earth did they send you to us?" Very frustrating. Anybody elses NOA1 take this long??

Could be a good idea to make the timeline chart a little more condensed for easier reading by removing the 2017 filers who have completed their Naturalization.  Keep in mind, those are the members who have stuck around in this thread to offer up advice from experience to the 2018/2019 filers, however, so their overall attendance/assistance in answering any questions in this thread may or may not drop if they feel they are no longer even considered "part of the group" of NY/Queens/LI filers any more.  
 
**not saying this will absolutely happen, just how some older filers who've been continuing to participate in this thread/stuck around to advise others through the process since the very beginning/inception of this thread may feel**

I will try to do that tomorrow morning. It's just very frustrating being on the phone with them. It tends to drag on and they aren't helpful most of the time. I will still give it a shot, though. 

Yesterday my wife called USCIS and they told her that since 15 business days had passed since we sent application, they will create a "service request" to look into the package matter and send a request for receipt confirmation to the lockbox office. 
They said the service request takes up to 15 days to be responded to and to call again if we don't get a resolution or hear anything within 15 days (May 15th)
 
Later that night we got 6 text messages from USCIS with 3 MSC confirmation/receipt numbers telling us that they received our application and that we will receive a letter in the mail. 
 
So idk if we finally got confirmation yesterday because of the "service request" we lodged OR was it already going to happen anyway but sharing my experience here with the hopes that it might help someone.🤷‍♀️
