Good morning everyone
Update Just got off the phone a little while ago with a tier 2 officer . I called in regarding the User-Defined error she did confirm to me that its an ongoing issue they are work on and that the lasts update on the case was that they were requesting my wife for interview. So happy for the news this morning also she put me on a brief hold while she double checked and told me yup they are requesting for an interview. No date yet confirmed hope to see mail this week.

Hi all,
I just updated my timeline. I did try to ask a congresswoman to help but I am not sure if her staff ended up following through. We only signed the privacy information release form and then never heard anything from her staff.
Here's my timeline:
NOA1 date: 12/5/2017
Biometric: 12/29/2017
NOA2 date: 3/29/2018
NOA2 received on: 4/2/2018
Combo card received: 4/4/2018 (came via USPS priority mail)
I do want to point out that my status was only updated in https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov (the one you need to log in with the passcode received via text message). My status on the USCIS app or website is still showing "case received".
I totally understand how stressful it is... we are all anxious to get a job or have travel plan. GOOD LUCK to everyone!

Today I received a message from the new USCIS account saying that they had taken an action in my EAD. I checked and says that my case was approved. Well, why say first that my card was being produced and just after says was approved? Doesn't matter. It was approved and I am happy.

HELLO FELLOW NOVEMBER FILERS FOR AOS, EAD and AP.
Just want to share my experience with the filing of my AOS, EAD and AP...and it will be long
Sent Package: Nov. 21, 2017
After 1 wk , we received a text message from USCIS that they received our Package, then 3 days after that, payment was deducted from hubby's bank.
NOA for I-485(aos) : December 8, 2017
NOA for I-765(ead) and I-131(ap): December 4, 2017
We received 3 USCIS letter in the mailbox on December 26, 2017 containing the NOA's of my application (AOS, EAD and AP). On the NOA of AOS, attached was my appointment for biometrics with assigned date, January 3, 2018, with address and time. The day came and we went to the address to have my biometrics. We arrived there early, but nevertheless they allowed us to go in..instead of the 10am appointment we went in at around 9am. On the entrance a security personnel checked the letter of appointment and my passport. Filled up some papers like name, age, address, etc. But the thing is, on the letter of appointment, my last name was change into my husband's last name already, and on my passport it still hold my maiden name. That won't be a problem if we only have with us our marriage license (so stupid of us to forget) I thought for a sec we were screwed...So i told them if its possible to get it at home (which is miles away) or to check in our car if its there (hopefully)... ...but lo and behold he considered my case and let me through the examination/evaluation/inspection panel to forward for the biometrics. The biometrics was smooth and easy, by 30-40 mins it was done.
And my waiting in vain started.
Every day I checked my status online, on USCIS site and every single time, I prayed for a progress. After January ended, my case for I-485(AOS), was changed from CASE WAS RECEIVED to READY FOR INTERVIEW; my EAD and AP still on CASE WAS RECEIVED. I really wanted to have my EAD, as staying home gets really boring and I wanted to help my husband with the bills. The waiting gets really exhausting and at times I lose hope for it. Granting the fact that its 90 days processing time for EADs, I patiently waited. In the meantime, I keep myself busy searching and reading online about EAD experiences, the processing time for EAD, things like that.
Visa Journey has been a big hep for me, since they analyze your case and give you dates when to contact the USCIS if my case gets really stagnant or far beyond the expected date for a decision (approval or denial). So, 90 days went by and still no progress on my case...I noticed that Visa Journey is constantly updating and changing the date of my expected EAD decision, I thought maybe its basing the statistics from other VisaJourney folks experiences. So, on the 91st day we called the USCIS and inquired about my case, why its taking so long things like that. So what they did was they just made a report about my case and pretty much told me to wait for another month for the decision, and if still no progress, we should consider giving a call to them again. And thats it..the waiting continues.....
Then on the 29th of March, 8 in the morning, my husband's informed mail delivery (USPS) sent an email on those letters due for delivery, and one of the scanned letters was from the USCIS! Its been 123 days from my NOA (December 4, 2017). I thought I was one of the unlucky few who waited their EAD's for more than 6 months. God is good and He will always be by your side. After a 2 days, I received my COMBO CARD (EAD+AP) and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
BTW, my online case status is still at CASE WAS RECEIVED
Thank you for reading. Keep the faith. It will come to you. Believe

Hi All,
Wanted to update everyone. My fiancee finally is approved for EAD and AP as of this morning. I checked the informed delivery email and sure enough there were two envelopes from USCIS. We got lucky and the approval notice for the EAD had just enough of the first line showing through the clear window that I could read that it was approval for employment authorization. It was still a long wait to confirm I hadn't misread it. The mail man always seems to come later in the afternoon. However, we have not seen any updates on the website yet, neither through the case tracker nor the USCIS Account where there is more information. Hopefully we'll get the actual card before the end of next week!
For those of you wondering, our timeline is as follows:
Mailed AOS Package: Dec. 13, 2017 (roughly, I forget the exact Date)
USCIS Received: Dec. 15, 2017
NOA1: Dec. 19, 2017
NOA2: March 29, 2018
Days to Approval from USCIS Received: 104
Days to Approval from NOA1: 100

It seems like a lot of January filers have been getting impatient with their EADs, and I noticed it's mostly those adjusting from B2. Is this visa generally quick to obtain?
As someone adjusting from a K1 visa, I am not expecting my EAD at around day 70 something (getting an interview sched was more of a miracle) and I see fellow K1 visa holders aren't getting impatient as well. I think it's because they know how looong this process can take. And the AOS process is supposed to be longer! At least now we're with our spouses, so the wait isn't as stressful as when we we applied for the K1.
Just hang in there, fellow January filers, and don't keep checking your case as it'll just stress you out. Many 2017 filers are still waiting. Enjoy all your free time with your partner, start a new hobby, try something new, learn new things! Once you get your EAD, you'll wish you didn't spend this waiting time stressing out so much.

Hey y'all.
Walked in and got biometrics #2 completed 5 days early. Another easy peasy process this time they only took my pic and my right index finger. They didn't even acknowledge the appt date. Same as last time! They opened 10 mins early and I was first😁 in and out in 5 mins . Anyho Now I wait, wait, wait and pray for a speedy processing! Hopefully y'all are having a wonderful week so far! And I hope we all get some good news soon
