    Couldn’t agree more. hah
Yeah it’s highly suggested for us who are stuck with user defined error to book an infopass

Just got out of the interview.... and would like to share the good news!! We are approved!  Had such a nice interviewer, very understanding and he even gave me I-551 stamp on my passport so I can start working. Status changed to new card is being produced. This has been a long journey and thank you everyone on this forum for all the encouragements and support! It really helped my sanity. Just FYI, EAD/AP were not approved, and after today's interview, both were cancelled as I-485 was approved. Good luck to the rest of y'all!

    Hey everyone!

We just got approved for the green card!
Interview was smooth, we came 1:55 and right at 2:00 we were invited to the room for the interview. The lady was really nice!
She told us well so you met in Colorado and you (to my husband) went even to Russia?
We said yeah and told a little bit of our story. She asked for joint documents. Currently our income is not much, and we don’t have any joint lease or joint documents for the car as his car on dads name. He also doesn’t have health insurance due to his job. So it was kind of confusing. We just made recently a joint credit account as I can earn credit scores but I don’t use it much as my husband gives me cash most of the time or just pay with a card if we are together.
So she asked more about our story. About my husbands trip to Russia and our trip to my husbands family in December. She took some more pictures from what I brought and some finance documents.
I was really nervous as I always like that in important meetings. And we both were not in the mood as our neighbors who lives one floor under were fighting really loud all night and my husband barely sleep. And he had to work straight after interview.  so I don’t know what the lady thought about our relationship. Maybe it seemed not real idk 🤷‍♀️
She said we are approved as I came on k1 visa and we made the process properly but advised to get more joint documents for the next interview in 2 years. I mean surely we will have more joint documents together as I start working. But we are at the beginning of anything right now, our life together our careers and stuff.

That’s my story and good luck to anyone!

Just got some good news!  I just logged into the DHS site and our case has finally switched to "Your card is being produced" as of June 8th.  When I logged in during the morning on Friday, it still said "Your case has been received" so I wasn't expecting this update.  I just logged in on a whim tonight and was surprised to see this status.  So, hopefully, we'll have the green card this week.  I am so happy to have this step almost over.  We also feel very lucky to have gone from submission to card received in only 4 months.  I'll keep checking in and let everyone know once we receive the card.  Good luck everyone!

Hi all. So nice to see all the approvals and interview dates.

I just finished a stage 2 phone interview this morning for an inbound call centre.  The guy interviewing me musta liked what he heard because he said he was putting me forward to the last stage which is an in person interview. I should have that in the next two weeks. I sure hope this pans out because I need a job. lol I just sent off the consent to have them do a background check. HA I feel like our lives as visa entrants is all background checks all the time. The guy actually laughed and said I bet you pass the check because you already had one to get into the USA right. I said mmmhmm and going through it again now with them. My husband works for this company and really likes his job. They have decent benefits and pay.

After 197 days, I woke up this morning to a notification that my I-765 (EAD) is being produced!!! I'm so relieved.
I haven't had a notification about AP, although I applied for both together. Am I right in assuming that this too has been approved and I'll receive the combo card? I'm due to travel back to the UK in under 3 weeks and have been having sleepless nights for the last 4 weeks stressing over this!

A little background to my case. My NOA1 date was 22nd November. I received an RFIE 14th December for proof of birth (which was incredibly frustrating as I had already included my birth certificate when filing, but I sent my birth certificate again anyway). On 25th April I went for an Infopass appointment and was told I 'should have it in hand within 30 days'. 30 days later and I still hadn't heard anything, so I went back for another Infopass appointment. I was lucky as I saw the same officer again and he remembered me. There was no further update and I was stressing as I need to travel, so he called the office where my case was and explained the situation and asked if the person who had my case could look into it as soon as possible and make a decision. The person he spoke to on the phone said they'd email the officer who had my case but couldn't promise anything as it wasn't 'life or death'. The officer who helped me at my Infopass appointment took my contact details, and said he was going to check my case status everyday and give me a call by Friday this week if there had been no change to see if there was any news he could give me e.g. if he could see someone was working on my case. I'm not sure if his actions helped (as he had no way of knowing if the person he spoke to on the phone had even emailed the officer working on my case) but I'll forever be thankful to him for his help - he literally was the nicest guy (in comparison, the guy who greeted me at the desk when I checked in for my appointment was rude, and laughed in my face when I told him the USCIS website said that the current timings for EAD/AP were 3-5 months).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone still waiting. I know how frustrating it is when you see someone else has had theirs approved and although you're happy for them, it makes the wait even more tiresome. Believe me, I've been there. But hopefully the fact cases from November are getting their EAD/AP approved will give the rest who are still waiting hope that theirs is just around the corner

Hello, I never posted here because I originally sent my package in January. However, we got a rejection notice and had to send it back so our NOA1 is Feb 20th.

I got my interview last week and my approval letter yesterday and my green card is currently being delivered. I was originally supposed to be in Queens, NY where they are still processing June 2016 but I guess they transferred us to New York City where the processing is very similar. I was not expecting all of this to happen this soon but I'm glad! A lot of people from January are also getting their EAD/AP right now.

Update: last week I got an email update saying there were no updates to my file since May 17th.  This email update was received AFTER my interview on May 24th.  Then this update disappeared from my file, but received an email today saying my EAD and or combo card is being produced.  Now I know from other people here, that this really should say my Green card is being produced since I already had my interview.

There is one thing that is clear- the system is just all over the place and trying to figure it out is futile :-)  The only email that you can count on is the one that says your card is being produced!

My approval was 130 days after they received my AOS package.  I know I am very lucky to get my Green Card so early.  This is out of the Philly Office which has a current estimate of 9.5-19 months.  So the information isn't always right, for any of those that are trying to figure our when they will get their cards.

Good luck to everyone!  I hope you all get your cards very soon.

I'm about to start ranting (for those of us who have not received EAD or AP). The inquiry date yesterday was December 31, 2017...this early morning it changed to December 10, 2017.....it now takes 4 to 6 months.......ugh

    Hey,

So like the phone line and T2 officers. Its clear even the infopass people are overworked and worried, everyone is on edge. Made it clear we are in the new world.

She said my i-485 has passed all the checks but is still in chicago waiting to be picked to move to San Diego. She mentioned San Diego has 2months waiting list for interview currently so do not expect anything for 3-4 months. It is very clear they want to get the i485 through versus the old way of EAD first. But she said there is no room for interviews now so gotta wait.

For EAD, it is now 5months basically for everyone. She made a point that the greencard could come before the EAD now. Like that is basicaly their goal now.

Unfortunately I didnt apply for i-131 till 2 weeks so she was like yah that ne who knows.

its truly frustrating since consular processing and EAD approval are basically the same amount of time now. But this seems to be the new goals and process of USCIS.

Lastly, they made it pretty clear they are sick of people hassling or always trying to check on their case, just got to wait it out.

    Hi everyone,

Just got my EAD/AP combo today!

    NOA1: January 11th
    Approval: May 22nd
    Card in Mail: May 31st

It took a long time but at least I got it. For anyone wondering, I did get updates on the USCIS website and on my phone.

    GC status:

    NOA1: January 11th
After that no changes except on the USCIS website. My case says it was reviewed on March 20th but I havent gotten any updates since then.

Good luck to everyone out there! Let me know if you have any questions.

Raising a service request will not help as they will tell you that your case is within the processing time.
It would be better to just wait and check the processing times for the cases.
I765 cases usually takes 5-7months as per the IO I spoked with during my infopass. And the I485 will depend on your local office processing time.
Here is the link where you can find those informations : https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Congrats on all the approvals, interviews, new cards and other good news!
I got my EAD approval in the mail yesterday, now waiting for the card, yay!
My AOS interview was scheduled on the 22nd, hopefully the letter with all the details arrives soon.
How long does it usually take from getting the letter to the interview? Our baby is due in July, it would be wonderful to have this quest over with by then

Yeah the SSA office was really nice when I went there a week ago to get the SS card changed to my married name since I finally got my EAD in the mail. The guy congratulated us on our marriage and congratulated me on getting my EAD. He asked me what kind of work I was looking for and I said receptionist hopefully as that is my field but I would take most anything. LOL He said good for you. I just need to go change my DL once my new SSN card comes.  Will be nice to have everything in my married name then.

    Hi all,
today I received an initial interview letter for my AOS at Raleigh office. My interview is on June 25th. My NOA1 date is Feb 21 and I am adjusting from K1 here. We are super happy and hoping and praying the interview does not get cancelled (as some Raleigh filers have had that update).
My husband is in the military and is deploying in July so this really couldn't have come at a better time for us. Good luck to you all on getting your interview dates and I'll keep you all updated,
    Sophie
