I'm debating about the same situation and leaning towards not applying for N-400 at the moment, in anticipation of getting done with GC first.
 
One interesting bit I read in the field manual that might contribute to slowness is:
"In almost all cases, a Form N-400 that is filed while a Form I-751 is pending will have been filed pursuant to section 319(a) or 319(b) of the Act. I scanned on a single file. In fact took 2 pictures, cropped, put it in a Google doc page, saved as a PDF. 
There isn't any particular requirement about number of pages. I did so because it's easier to see and review.

There are many people who have not and won't receive any biometrics appointment letters. Some just wait at "Case received" until one day it "Case approved".
 
You will get a biometrics appointment letter only if your previous fingerprints and background check is expired or not sufficient.
 
I suggest that you just wait and enjoy the fact that your case hasn't needed extra work for you and for USCIS so far.

After biometrics appointment, status often changes to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" or something similar. It's usually a day or two after the appointment but can happen any time later, or, I mean, USCIS...

Humour me....
Call 1-800-898-7180 and put your A# (or USCIS number) in using the automated system..
That will tell you if there was a judgement and final order of removal (and thus termination of your status) made against you in abstentia.

I'm seeing 2 different dates on USCIS web sites. I know one of them is the newer web site. How come the dates are different? Is this a common occurrence?

I am relatively new on the forum. Is Nebraska Service Center somehow different than others? Particularly slow? Processes different kinds of applications? I am not seeing Nebraska section in the tables where timelines are tracked in posts. Based on what I am reading on the forum makes me wonder.
 
My application was sent to and has been at Nebraska from the beginning.

Wouldn't entering data and viewing it be easier with a Google spreadsheet?
