Oh I see... Hmm we haven't received it yet. They just mailed it yesterday. I'm thinking that it might be a mistake on their part, that they might have sent the RFE twice, cause prior to the arrival of the RFE mail, I sent an inquiry to USCIS about not receiving the RFE on time. They responded to that query on Sept. 22. By then, we have already received the mail and responded to first RFE.
They mailed the first RFE on Sept. 6, we received it on Sept. 15 and they receieved the RFE, Sept. 22. Tricky part there is that they responded to my query and the RFE pack we sent on the same day... So I'm just really confused right now.
Anyone here with the same situation?
Probably a duplicate RFE..I received a second one after talking to a TIER 2 and I guess they put in a query even though it hadn't been mailed out yet...second copy never showed up so They must have caught it because they received my reply before it was printed and sent.

Hello everyone I took my medical earlier than Friday because I’ll be busy at work.
So I went to SLEC (St Lukes Extension Clinic) around 4 am. My medical was all done 9:30ish in the morning I waited two and half hours and all the people who are with me went home already and were asked to come back. I was crying to my fiancé because I thought that was for Sputum (me waiting) but then my name was called for immunization. 3 shots. After that they ask me to go to releasing and then I went hom. Successful! Thank God!
Congrats!!

@mcs belated happy birthday too
Congratulations to all who have been approved. @Chris2870 and Faye praying for your approval this coming week. So that Faye can fly there and not worry too much bout you Chris . @LabOz @Mike & Tuyen and the others hope this is gonna be your week for Noa2 too.
Happy weekend everyone!
@JeniandMatt Happy weekend my dear friend..honestly, I'd proudly say I gained a lifetime friend here on VJ and it's Jeni..Jeni is my cheerleder..I have struggles in life being an empath because I could absorb other people's feelings..with Jeni, the wait is becoming lighter, she's a very positive woman and a friend for keeps..Chris is done with his MRI to know how bad the tear is in his bicep tendon and we won't know results til' next week..I would honestly say I won't know what to do if ever it would require surgery but one thing is for sure I wanna' be there as soon as I can to take care of my Baby..

Anyone else who got an RFE, when you sent back your paperwork did you send back either the blue or white sheet with it, or did you just write your WAC# on the documents you sent back?
I want to make sure I do it in a way that ensures nothing gets lost. Going to Priority Mail the response on Monday.send back both...copy for your records though

Congrats too all who got approved!
Faye and I had to take a break until we knew what was going on with the RFE or our frustration would have vented on here lol...apologies..

But then this thread moves so quickly, and we have gained so many more VJers, its hard to keep track of who is posting and where everyone is up to! Keep us updated @Chris2870
Just responded to our RFE today...The Judge signed the "Journal Entry of Divorce" for my last marriage and they didn't like it...So I ordered a certified copy of Divorce Certificate from the State of Kansas and submitted that.

Shut our borders down?
Yeah I don't think we will ever close our borders; No suicidal nuke junkie is going to change this country by threatening it. I wish China would just annex NK and take the lunatic out. Problem is too many countries are using NK as a proxy to test Pres's resolve. Unfortunately their puppet is out of their control...I pray for all the people's in the area, mainly for the NK people who never wanted this garbage, or to be seperated from their families in the south.

Don't panic yet, Faye
It's not a weird thing with USCIS that a letter takes a week to arrive to the mailbox. So if the RFE was mailed out on Tuesday, I think it's safe to think it might arrive Tuesday (even Wednesday with the holiday weekend) next week.
I know the uncertainty and waiting are awful, but this whole process is stressing enough, so, please, don't panic (I know... easy to say).
Thank you but I'm not a happy camper..I'm depressed and desperate to hold my love one before the holidays..I could say I could be at least healthier and at ease if we at least get to NOA2 status by mid-Sept..not to mention, it's already our official engagement anniversary on the 5th..

Okay I'm panicking...my fiancé haven't receive the letter that describes our RFE..it was mailed out on 08-28..how many days does it take to mail it in the Midwest area?..as for what I know USPS can take 7-10 bds max TAT worst case scenario--take note worst case scenario and 3-5 bds min TAT..or KS was just transferred to another country and I didn't know about the news?! Sorry for the rant here but I needed to..

Can't you use your physical address with Informed Delivery?
No because my address doesn't have a mail box, so no service. Post Office is directly across the street so they just put everything in my box
-
1 hour ago, Keith & Monica said:
And the address that USCIS has is your physical address?
yes...because the forms warn of a delay if a P.O.Box is used
-
5 hours ago, Keith & Monica said:
Do you have informed delivery? I would say that you should get it any day now. It should be there soon.
I do but it is set for my P.O.Box and not my physical address. hopefully tomorrow

It's been 4 days since our RFE has been mailed out but we haven't receive it until now..we are on hold until we get a hold of that letter..😢😕

part of it was for jobs and other trips were for study/vacation
You shouldn't have a problem as long as you've stayed out of trouble....It just takes a long time

CSC
No I mean are you the petitioner(USC) or the beneficiary(foreigner)
-
Just now, useful89 said:
Just afraid mine will take forever because I have lived abroad extensively in the past few years.
Are you the USC or the Beneficiary?
-
2 minutes ago, useful89 said:
I mean for background checks. For USC who have really long background checks, are the reasons for that known?
It all depends...For instance: If there is a previous criminal record, history of living/working outside the US or if USC was a petitioner previously they would want to know what happened there...etc
It's hard to advise accurately because everything is moving slower right now than usual. I wouldn't stress on it at this point because you are just over two months in.

case was put on hold for the original RFE. I actually called the tier 2 to ask about the delay in receiving the RFE because although the email said it was requested it wasn't mailed until 15 days later. He made a notation of non-receipt on my case, so they re-issued it with same 15 day printing/mailing delay. By that time; I received the original and responded and it was received by USCIS before the copy was printed...all that being said; it is possible to get a second RFE. sometimes the response isn't complete or something else catches their eye.
