I'm not sure if that is the case or not.  What it appears is that they can take up to 15 days for the RFE that they have requested for the petition to actually be sent out.  Which is why when I and Chris called we were told by the Tier 2 person that we got an RFE.  It took them about 15 days for them to send it out to me.  I hope it doesn't take that long for you @Chris2870.

As for calling, you are right in the time that you should be finding something out soon.  It is always up to you and your SO.

Yep. They said it would be sent between sept 2-8.

Yea we ask them to.. but they said it's against their protocol..my friends who are April filers as well got approve recently..their NOA1 is April 3-10..that's why is stressing me out why their getting approve while us we have nothing 😩😩😩

Tier 1 keeps on giving canned responses..well, it's true you have to insist for them to transfer you to tier 2..you can say that you noticed that the tracker isn't working..

More to do with Philippines ruling the roost on K1 petitions, too much volume on background checks I bet, which I bet allows others to jump ahead in line.

And I just noticed I'm talking to myself again....oops :jest:

I'm hardly seeing approvals for Philippine fiancé visas..I'm wondering if this has something to do with Marawi incidents..

So I guess, one of these days I'll just see a "gift" in my mailbox instead of an email or text... We honestly cannot wait to get som news soon enough. We are both depressed and stressed waiting for news.

You're not alone there. Stress related health issues too for both of us. We're not weak people, we're just not fully "alive" right now, if that makes sense.

Hi (noa1: 4/11) still waiting for noa2 and I feel like I just wanna stop waiting and just forget the whole process. You know, the whole drama of it. I hope we get our NOA2s sooner than we think! Goodluck!

I'm actually feeling the same..I'm in the verge of losing hope..so down and I just don't want to wait anymore..what come may..it will arrive when it come..maybe Sept or Oct..I'm now lowering all my expectations because it makes me sick..

Hey all! This is random but I'm hoping to enter US by February & get married strait away ( figured by Feb, our rfes would have a lot of time to process then interview etc then do Christmas at home with my family). Do you think everything would be back by end of June so I can leave the country? Then I'd be coming back to pick up my dog & bring him over on a cruise. It does mean I'd be gone for a    Month because the cruise is 9 days plus I have a friends wedding & would wanna see my family.

    Any ideas?

You must have your AP ( advance parol) before leaving or get a waiver or you will be stuck outside US. AP is part of AOS and takes about 4 months. Check quarantine laws in US about your pooch.

Definitely get it before getting married, and change the name afterwards if you want to (I'm not changing mine).

I've seen people having trouble trying to get it after getting married, and having to wait for the EAD. I think this happens because once you are married the visa is not valid anymore, so you don't have a document to prove your legal status. I think some people tried with the NOA1 from AOS, but not sure if that always works.

We can apply as soon as the i94 is updated, so we don't even need to wait the two weeks they used to wait before, until the system was updated upon our entry in the country.

So, all in all, I think getting the SSN is best done first thing after arriving :)

This in an important question actually because I've seen some couples planning a Vegas wedding upon entry.

This is a bit off the wall, but when can our OH apply for a SSN. What's the process? Does anyone know?

They can apply once they make entry into the US. Go down to local SS office with passport and apply. Then after marriage go back and change name. Or marry first then apply
