Time to put on your big boy/girl pants and take control of your life! I know it’s easier said than done and there might be some cultural things happening here but again, you are an adult. Get a new job, see if you can crash at a friend’s house until you find a room, etc. If your partner is financially stable enough, they can also support you for the time being.

Do a Cover Letter titled Supplemental Filing for I-129 F , list the enclosed evidence along with copy of receipt notice. Excellent odds to avoid RFE

Seems a bit odd to discuss marriage within mere weeks of meeting someone, especially when you’ve already had a bad experience with a foreigner…..

    Doubtful.

You sent the petition three months ago?   Processing time for I-129F is currently 13.5 months.

We got our NOA1 in January and according to trackmyvisa, our case is close to being reviewed, that's what I meant! I'll keep an eye on this timeline too, thanks!

Did you already know her before she entered the US? When did you meet her? Even if you met her the day she entered the US, discussing marriage (especially in her circumstances) seems VERY hasty..

Not many people can afford to retire at 60 nowadays, having a good pension will help.

You were rightly denied entry because you were de facto trying to live in the US on a nonimmigrant status.  Going forward, you should plan to use the entry privilege more like a proper tourist, for reasonable periods of time.

I think you’re misunderstanding the requirements.   Individual consulates do not set their own medical requirements.

Full transparency, I am planning to visit my fiancé for long, about 4-5 months as I already have a B1/B2 visa.
I have a full time job right now, and plan to get a letter of employment from my company before I quit, so I can show CBP the letter as proof of ties to my country.
I'm planning to buy a full flex plane ticket which will state that I'll be visiting for 2 weeks (also going to tell CBP officer 2 weeks if they ask duration of stay), but once I've entered, I'm going to refund the return ticket and just get a new one once I'm ready to go back after a few months.
Just wondering if what I plan to do is dangerous in any way? Everything I'm doing is technically legal..

I'm just afraid come time for my actual K1 visa interview, I will be questioned on why I was in the US for so long.... even though there shouldn't be anything wrong with that in the first place since I just want to be with my fiancé.
But will it come off really suspicious to the consular office during my K1 interview?
Would just like to know if that will be affected in any way... any replies and advice will be much appreciated please!!
My fiancé has a stable job so money isn't a cause of concern and I am able to be unemployed btw.. which is why I'm planning to quit my job after I have obtained letter of employment as proof.

It's not a matter of the Consulate or Embassy, but a requirement by USCIS in accordance with the CDC.

SalishSea reacted to bren123 in Transfer IR1 interview from Dushanbe to Almaty?
Hi, we were DQ'd in March, and given an interview date in May at the Dushanbe embassy. We just figured out that the Dushanbe embassy does not accept medical tests from Moscow, only from Dushanbe. This means my wife is required to take the COVID vaccine, which is a hard no for us. The Almaty embassy accepts medical tests from Moscow which does NOT require COVID vaccination, so we would like to transfer out interview there.

Has anyone else had success transferring an interview to Almaty?

It seems you are suggesting trying to deceive CBP when you enter by showing them proof of a job you no longer have and showing them a return ticket you plan to change.  This is not a good plan.

Well yes essentially.. As I am from what the US deems as a 3rd world country, if I'm honest about wanting to be with my fiancé for 3 months, I just fear they will outright deny me entry just because of my duration of stay - thus me purchasing a shorter visit ticket, but planning to change it after.

First, get your legal relationship to the child correct in your mind. For immigration purposes, he is simply your stepson.

Even without the guide, the I-130 instructions spell out clearly what is required for spouse and what is required for a stepchild.  You will be submitting evidence of your bona fide relationship to your wife, but nothing like that for the stepson.  For him, you are simply providing evidence you are married to his mother and that he is his mother's child.  Presumably, he will travel with his mother. Whether you are traveling with them or not, is irrelevant.
