  1. I've read all of this, but it does not change the fact that Almaty accepts medical tests taken in Moscow, and Russians who take the test in Moscow are WAIVED from the COVID vaccine requirement. If you search the forum, you will find that many have confirmed this. I even called them today and they confirmed. The only embassies that accept Moscow medical tests are Warsaw and Almaty.
  2. Hi, we were DQ'd in March, and given an interview date in May at the Dushanbe embassy. We just figured out that the Dushanbe embassy does not accept medical tests from Moscow, only from Dushanbe. This means my wife is required to take the COVID vaccine, which is a hard no for us. The Almaty embassy accepts medical tests from Moscow which does NOT require COVID vaccination, so we would like to transfer out interview there. Has anyone else had success transferring an interview to Almaty?
  3. It was automatically transferred. I was fully expecting Warsaw which would've been a logistical nightmare, so it's a welcomed surprise!
  4. Hi, me and my Russian spouse are currently going through the NVC phase and our interview location was recently transferred from Moscow to Dushanbe. The Dushanbe Embassy specifically states that they only do immigrant visa interviews for RESIDENTS and CITIZENS of Tajikistan. My spouse was born in Tajikistan, but doesn't have any documents other than a birth certificate to prove that she is a citizen. Could this pose any issues? Thanks for the help!
  5. Bumping this. I'm also interested if the vaccine is still required for CR-1 visas. There was an update stating that all foreign travelers do NOT need to be vaccinated to enter the US, but there has been no change here: https://se.usembassy.gov/vaccination-requirement/
  6. The embassy hasn't been functioning for well over a year now. I suppose if a lack of an embassy somehow makes you feel unsafe, then you'd better not come. Point is, there's a lot of russophobes trying to paint Russia as dangerous, when in fact it is perfectly safe and hospitable.
  7. What do you mean you can't simply go to Russia? It's perfectly safe to travel to Russia right now. The quality of life here is no different from before. Source: I'm an American married to a Russian who has traveled in and out of Russia at least 10x since the conflict started.
