Congratulations! I filed a week before you did, after originally filing in August with a missing signature, but it looks pretty random how they process these applications.

I've also been checking the Visajourney timelines, but it looks like the users don't update it, unfortunately, because it would be a good source of information for us.

Then they maybe had it scanned in by the 13th and had to connect it to you case so maybe but also maybe not. It's really hard to say.
I wouldn't worry to much they will contact you if they need anything. You have not hidden anything as you did sent in the documents before you got approved.

I believe USCIS will scan all documents they receive. They may not process the waiver request, but they'll have the documents in file. For cases like this that went wrong with N400, it would be at the fault of USCIS, not the applicant. But yeah, I won't expect them to own their errors...

Finally got approved today. September 2018 filer here. My application was at Nebraska service center since the beginning. Can’t believe it after waiting for this long. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

thank you! No interview. I didn't expect to get approved in 10months. A letter just came in the mail. thank you for this community. 

There's an old saying that is somewhat to the effect of "no house is built big enough for two women."
 
If things are tense with your MIL now, it's not bound to be much better when she's actually living in your home and probably "taking over" or commenting on everything from how your husband is fed, how the home is decorated, your parenting skills (if you have children), your cleaning skills, whether you're a good wife in her eyes, etc.  In other words, I can see the large potential for her to want to continue mothering him as though he were still a child.  And then, there's the complete lack of privacy---which, as a still relatively newly married couple, you're going to miss greatly.
 
My first question to him would be "why didn't you even discuss this with me first?"  If his response is something along the lines of "it's my decision---it's my mother", then I'd probably (personally) respond back with "it's our house---not just yours".  Maybe ask him to put himself in your shoes---if roles were reversed, how would he feel if you planned on immigrating a relative to live in the home and didn't even deem it a necessity to discuss it beforehand?
 
I'd also have a game plan before any process begins if you do decide to go ahead---is she workable?  Is she going to be self-supporting in any way or will you both be paying all of her expenses, and causing more financial strain, going forward (cellphone, clothing, entertainment, personal effects, transportation, etc.)?  Is her living with you going to be temporary---she'll have her own apartment once earning enough of an income---or she's in your home until her dying day?  All things that will need to be discussed.
 
I also wonder...considering he didn't even tell YOU, has he even broached the subject of immigrating his mother with HER, or is this just all a pipe-dream of his right now?

Mailed a package to USCIS this past weekend to switch my joint application to divorce waiver and it was delivered this morning. Now wait on.....

Very well said! it won't be a big issue to answer that type question; obviously when you live 3-4 years of your life in a certain status and build your own business you are most likely to settle down in that way if you see your expertise or venture has no value in your originating country. That will be my answer to be honest.

Thats a very common concern many if not all people with divorce waivers seem to have. (What if they ask why you want to stay when you are divorced). All I can say is they are not suppose to ask you that. IMO if they do start asking stuff like that or giving you a hard time about that aspect of the case-- well, you have a problem. You can ask for a supervisor if it gets too heated or if you feel you are being treated unfairly. But honestly they are not suppose to go into questions like that. The only reason they might is if they suspect fraud or want to see how you answer. 
 
Technically it is your legal option to remain in the US regardless of family or relationship status. You do not need to justify why you are taking advantage of the law that allows you to stay after divorce. If it makes you feel better try to come up with a simple one line response for questions like that if needed. Something like I have established myself here in the US professionally since immigrating for the marriage and are choosing to remain here.

I printed and sent everything, wayy more than what they asked and even stuff I had sent before. I did not skip pages (for eg. if there is 12 pages in your monthly bank statement and only 3 pages have financial transaction, rest is just promo and other BS. Print all 12 as the pages will be marked 1/12, 2/12 and so on and we don’t want missing pages. Same thing with insurance documents, there were 30 pages of home owners insurance documents with our names in like 5 pages but I included the whole 30 pages. The packet was about 500 pages thick. Sorry the format is all wonky, please feel free to let me know if u have any questions.

P.S I changed identifying info and dates for privacy sake.

The officer may not have had authority to adjudicate right away and needed approval from a higher tier officer after reviewing the documents and interview record. The delay is probably due to bureaucracy more than some actual problem with your application, in my personal opinion.
