nathan92845 got a reaction from millefleur in How does anyone travel overseas these days with the strict Covid testing requirements / timeframes?
My Wife and I visited Cambodia early January.  We went and got a PCR test the 2 days before our flight departed.  We picked up the test results with the clinics stamp on it the day before our flight.  Make sure the clinic stamps the test results otherwise Singapore airlines will not accept the results-Again - BE SURE TO HAVE THE CLINIC STAMP ON THE TEST RESUTS.  I saw people try to bring in a printed copy without the stamp from the clinic and turned away at the ticket counter.  When you arrive in Cambodia you will get rapid test to verify your are covid negative before you are allowed to leave.  The whole process took us an hour and half.  Coming back we had to pay $130 each for another PCR test.  We took the test on Friday morning, picked up the results Saturday morning and boarded our flight at Siem Reap airport at 4pm that afternoon.  The whole process was pretty hectic and crazy but well worth it to visit after being away from our homeland for over 2 years.

As for the entering the US again all she needs is the green card.

Not true, based on what we see here on VJ.  Lawyers often cause additional delays and expenses.  VisaJourney is a DIY site, and most of us have done our entire processes without paid legal help.

Congratulations!  It’s such a long process but worth it at the end.

My wife just finished her N-400/I-751 combo interview at the Santa Ana field office last month.  took almost exactly 2 years from when we filed the I-751 and 1 year from when we filed the N-400.

First, I want to say thank you to everyone on the forum, you all are the best. I had my N400 /I-751 interview on Thursday at Philadelphia and was given a recommendation for approval notice. This morning my I-751 changed to approved and this evening my N400 changed to oath ceremony notice was mailed. When I checked my online portal, my ceremony is coming on the 16th of this month. finally the stress is over. I still can't believe how fast it went. 🙏

My wife went to her n-400 interview today at the local Santa Ana field office.  She has a pending I-751 so I went with her just in case I was needed for a combo interview and she bought her ROC documents also.  We checked in at security and they let both of us inside.  At the first check in they asked for her notice and ID.  They then said I could not go with her bc it was an N400 case and not 751 and told me to wait downstairs just in case the officer asked to see me also.  After 30 minutes of waiting my wife called me to go upstairs bc the officer had asked to see me at the interview also. We ended up doing a combo interview with the N400 questions first.  After my wife passed the N400 test the officer asked questions about my divorce and kids and where we met.  He didn’t ask for any of the paperwork and evidence we had bought with us.  He then said he would need a few minutes to process paper work and told us to wait outside.  After 10 minutes he came back to get us and proceeded to ask my wife some more yes and no questions.  He then said he recommended her for citizenship and that we needed to go upstairs for the oath ceremony.  The oath took about 30 minutes with another group of people.   I’m not sure why some people had their ceremony scheduled for a later date and some people like my wife had same day.  Out of the people at the ceremony there were 5-6 that were same day.  I just want to say visa journey was a great help with the immigration process and everyone else on this site was so cool and helpful.  I wish good luck to everyone on their journey and don’t worry it will be such a relief when it’s all said and done

Basically the only way to communicate with the embassy in Phnom Penh is thru email.  I didn't have any issues with that since their replies were prompt.  They will send a hardcopy letter with the interview and required document information to the petitioners US address.

CO asked me what the reason for my divorce was. I just told her the truth. My ex connected with a childhood friend and cheated on me with that dude and that was that. CO didn't press for any further information regarding my divorce after that explanation.
