hi everyone, i filed for n400 while my i751 was pending a year ago. i had to schedule a infopass appointment to get a stamp since everything has expired.

can i do or say anything while the infopass appointment to make them schedule my interview for one of the applications?

has anyone done or said anything that can help the process go faster? thanks in advance if anyone can answer.

"Make them"?  No.  You're in the queue.  There are people ahead of you in the queue who have been waiting longer.  It is what it is.

I was able to find out what was causing the delay in my case processing but that’s about it.

Reaching out to your representative might help move your case along depending on processing times in your local field office and whether your case is considered outside of normal processing times.

Knowing your field office and filing dates, it is pretty easy to an idea when your case will be processed.

You should fill out your visa journey timeline.  Visajourney will then email you an estimate. There are other case estimators out there: search the web.

At the interview you can ask about your case but there is nothing you can do at that time to make them process it faster.

Some people change where they live.  Tucson seems to be processing cases faster.  As does Los Angeles which gives me cognitive dissonance.

Not that while in general filing N-400 can make I-751 go faster, at some field offices the claim is it and the opposite effect.  The claim is that at some field offices, the manager doesn’t let officers handle different kinds of cases and further that manager requires a pending N-400 to be adjudicated before a pending I-751.  Seattle is notorious for this.

Yeah. I am stuck with a pending I-751 that’s in some black hole waiting for the Seattle office to get the N-400 done. So my ROC got delayed and still no idea when it happens.
Had I not done the N-400 I would have my ROC approved already based on the LIN office having approved all before and after my case.
I got screwed and had read too many people getting their ROC approved fast by a fast N-400.
never do this if you have the Seattle office. They are extremely behind everything.

What about Santa Ana field office. I applied for i751 in May 2020 and for N400 in Sep 2021. Still waiting for interview

September 2021? People have been waiting for 2 years for ROC and 1+ year for N400. You’re just in the beginning.

if you re-read my first text then you know that I just wanted to know an estimate time about santa ana field office like how long they take to arrange interviews. I know its normal to wait longer than one year. I just wanted to know an estimate if someone had interview or any experience with Santa Ana field office?

My wife just finished her N-400/I-751 combo interview at the Santa Ana field office last month.  took almost exactly 2 years from when we filed the I-751 and 1 year from when we filed the N-400.

it looks like I am getting there. May 2022 will be my two year anniversary for I-751. Do you have any idea how long it take to schedule for your wife. combo interview after the online status of interview is ready to schedule.
