The "not available" is normally reserved for police reports/documents which cannot be obtained in any manner by non-citizens or people outside that particular country. You can try to get NVC to DQ your case, but they might just show the letter rejected or missing until you submit the police report.

If you apply to adjust status, remember that you cannot travel outside the US or work in any way inside the US without proper authority (Advance Parole and Employment Authorization Document). Agree. I don't think fewer pieces of evidence for an I-751 is an advantage. I would opt for more rather than less when it comes to an I-751.

How long did it take for the I-824 approval? That question is asked from time to time.

It won't expire if the priority date is not current. Is the PD in 2019?

May I offer my analysis of a K-1 vs a CR-1: Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 3-6 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 3-6 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire K-1 entrant cannot file for citizenship until after having Green Card for 3 years. Per other VJ Members the difference in average processing time is about 2.5 months: K1 is 475 Days CR-1 is 559 Days
