  1. I remember an identical situation a few years back. I believe the victim was a teacher.
  2. This story sounds very familiar. Did you try an expedite for someone a few years ago using this situation?
  3. If she cannot qualify, do NOT ask her to submit an I-864. That would be useless since a joint sponsor must be fully qualified. Seek a well-qualified Joint sponsor.
  4. Primary residence cannot be used as assets. The Consulate Officer evaluates the totality of the financial circumstances. As such, the consulate officer has the discretion to ask for a JOINT sponsor. Joint sponsors must submit an I-864. I would find a well-qualified one. That would be the path of least resistance.
  5. Why is US asylum the only remedy? Moving to a new location would solve the issue.
  6. Don't think that is a valid asylum qualifier. She can move to another neighborhood.
  7. Google "vaccine waivers for immigrant visas".
  8. USCIS does background checks as does the Department of State at the appropriate times. For immigration purposes, there is no erasing a record.
  9. A satisfactory medical exam is required prior to the issuance of all immigrant visas.
  10. ****Topic has been moved to the Philippines regional discussion forum***
  11. That is exactly what I did. That is exactly what our officer asked for.
  12. By country is the only way, to my knowledge. Poland would be Warsaw. Immigrant Visas - U.S. Embassy & Consulate in Poland (usembassy.gov) "Immigrant visas to the United States are processed for citizens and residents of Poland, Belarus, and Russia at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw"
  13. I think $1440 (General filing) is the new fee. Please see the following schedule to ensure your payment is correct: G-1055, Fee Schedule (uscis.gov)
  14. Where did you see the need to pay a biometrics fee? I don't think it is a separate fee for most petitions now.
  15. 1. If you are a US citizen, you will file an I-130 for each person. 2. Adjustment of Status is not applicable since they are outside the US. 3. Study the following guide:
  16. If he said that, he is wrong. Contact your Senator. USCIS Early Filing Calculator | USCIS " You may file Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, 90 calendar days before you complete your continuous residence requirement if your eligibility for naturalization is based upon being a: Permanent resident for at least 5 years; or Permanent resident for at least 3 years if you are married to a US citizen."
  17. Yes. She will not get into trouble.
  18. If you are 100% sure she didn't file early, I would contact my Senator and ask them to make an iquiry.
  19. Did you just now discover this? Are you 100% sure of the date she filed?
  20. Here are some IR-5 timelines for Poland, but they don't look current: IR-5 Visa US Immigration Timelines for Poland - SORT : Last Update - DESC (visajourney.com)
  21. Her filing date should fine (although you stated she filed on the first day she was eligible). Her 90 day windows opened on 2/3/2024. If she withdrew, she could re-file immediately....but I don't think that is a wise decision until you find out why the officer would have denied the case. Are you sure the withdrawal notice status isn't a mistake?
  22. Do you have an immigration question?
