That sounds about right. The Bern embassy page here says it takes 1 month, so I think in the past it was like that. Thanks for letting us know then, and again I wish you the best of luck in December. 

Thank you for your reply @ozzac! I was DQed on 3rd of November so I hope my appointment will come soon, too. I would also have expected that you would get your interview within November though. But it's nice that you already have your fixed appointment which you can look forward to. I hope that you that everything goes quick and smooth for you. 

Hello @iCodeClean, I did receive my interview appointment almost three weeks after being DQed. I was getting worried because days were passing by and had no news, but finally I got it. The interview will be in December, even though I would have expected November since they don't receive many such requests. Basically, it's going to take about two months from the date I was DQed. It's 6 months after your medical.

My wife's visa was valid for 5 months after her medical... 4 months after issue. 

Maximum of 6 months from the date of your visa medical.  Could be shorter.  Mine was valid for 3 months after my medical date, around 1 month and a half after visa issue date.

Yes, it's a big jump! I expected to hear from them next week and instead they answered today. Glad they are picking up speed!

Initial submission may 26. Received RFE and submitted aug 5 on the same day. Woke up this morning and finally DQ!!! Good luck everyone. Now its time to wait a year for the Mexico consulate appointment, but at least our case is moving forward. 

NVC just approved all of our documents (We submitted on may 31, got RFE on august 4th and resubmitted the documents at the same day)!!! We are so happy!!

Hi Ozzac! We got an RFE for the W2s as well, even though my husband was clearly not receiving W2s as he was employed in Switzerland. We called NVC and they advised to write a letter stating why he had no W2s. He also attached his and my Swiss payslips. 
 
I had no issue with the Swiss Police Certificate, but we had a whole saga about my Australian one  
 
I am really sorry, but yes, we went back into the queue and our documents were reviewed around 2.5-3 months later... 

Just for a final bit of feedback from me - I had my interview on Tuesday and my visa in hand on Thursday. They are definitely very fast  

If you mean the option on the DS-260 form, then that was the wrong answer in your case, and the reason you got that FE note.  Your family will just be relocating, not immigrating with you.  Even so, that FE note is not a showstopper and is safe to ignore in your case, as your family members are already USCs.  No need to update the DS-260 either.
 

We submitted our statements as additional documents on two separate occasions: 1. statement about domicile along with evidence, 2. statement about petitioner not having w2 and reaffirmation of domicile intent. The AOS was not reuploaded at the time because there was no reason to and doing so would have put us to the back of the queue.
 
With our recent RFE, we did submit a new AOS for the joint sponsor because they asked for 2021 tax documents and the I864 had to be updated accordingly.
