Yeah, exactly how I'm looking at it. Plus if the trade off is interview for faster processing, I'll gladly take the interview.

Sounds like this is the case. Although, it's weird for our case because we did DCF and had an "interview" at the USCIS field office in Moscow when we filed the I-130, then the official Embassy interview for the visa later...so if my husband gets called for another interview, that will technically be his 3rd interview!

Well yea MSC is fast with process biometric and extension letter, but when it comes to interview it's all depends on your local office. MSC is mainly point to process papers and recently they start using it to do I-751. It manily works on AOS and N400 . Yea at least every one going to MSC know ahead of time there big Chance for interview.

That's what seems the trend is. Since change of policy in November... So I guess they don't count the embassy interview as USCIS interview!? Will see .. but at least MSC is fast .. the issue is how fast is the local office to schedule the interview.. Good luck everyone

I just checked MyAccount@uscis.dhs.gov and it shows: We received your case
You do not need to do anything at this time
We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your case. Current as of today at 7:11 p.m.    This is really strange.  Just checked https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do which never worked before and received the following status.  So I don't know what to think about this! Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
As of April 4, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number MSC1990XXXXXX, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

It does say at the top that this article is "archived"/out of date and does not mention I-751's so, who knows. Prepare for the worst, expect the best!

I wonder what that means .. interesting..  there no theory or predection with USCIS ...Would be great share what you evidence you included.. at least no RFE .. can you share the wording of email and make sure to take out your case number so it won't be shown.

That’s super fast.  Though, I wonder how long the case will be “ready” for.  I’m imagining (based on no factual proof) that it’s like being in line at Walmart.  Yeah, you’re in line, but there’s still a lot of people in front of you.  The bonus, I would think, is it means their case was sufficient if no other evidence was requested prior to being ready for an interview.

Definitely agree with the scary.  I have no sound reason to be fearful, but it’s always that unknown.  What if you get an officer having a rotten day!?  Nerves will play a huge part in this for me.  To this day, I’m surprised I was given the K1 bc I was so nervous at the embassy.  I asked him a couple times to repeat things and I stumbled over recalling the name of the festival I was at with a friend when I met my husband.  Ugh.  The bonus:  he wasn’t with me for the K1 interview, but he will be for this, and he has a calming effect on me.

I believe most cases filed go through a pre-processing period, where they check to make sure that all necessary evidence is included, before it lands in the pile to be adjudicated.

A request for initial evidence means something vital is missing, which, could result in a denial because it’s an incomplete file.  In the case of an i751, could be a missing copy of the green card.

A request for evidence, if issued, comes later when the adjudicator is thoroughly evaluating the file, and they decide they need more than what was filed (ie. all bank statements instead of just quarterly ones).

I'd be interested in knowing if the case that got approved from the Oct 2018 filers had anything out of the norm as a basis for approval.

Not being critical just wondering if maybe, just maybe, it means they are working on getting up to speed 🙂

Not sure what my status means
Does anyone know if they usually do Name Check with FBI for I-751? It takes at least 4 months.
