Out here at the top of the world, Barrow, Alaska, patiently waiting on our NOA to come in the mail.

If staying with the same airline and just changing planes ,  no transit visa needed
If changing airlines ,  not needed unless you can not pick up that airline boarding pass in Morocco at check in
this is when a ticket is bought in 2 phases (one to Paris and one to the US)

you need to be able to  get all boarding passes in Morocco when checking in
make sure the check luggage is set to go to the final desination so you don't have to pick it up anywhere and check it back in
also ,   make sure he doesn't put any of his important papers like the passport in check luggage (heard of some doing that also)
embassy no longer gives out a packet to hand to border officer,   it is all on computer
    just passport with visa stamp
he would be wise to pick up an extra birth certificate, record of shots and any school transcrpits he has

With a valid US visa no transit visa needed unless the following applys

the ticket is in more than one part / a ticket to paris and picking up a new ticket to the  USA/ some have bought online and been stopped at checking in as the ticket there was only to Paris
get a travel agent to make sure this does not happen as online sites don't say but all boarding passes need to be picked up in Morocco
    or
if you have to change airports
    or
if you are in paris over 24 hours

If you find a ticket to Canada for transit ,  they have a $7 transit visa fee and can apply online (easy)   and the international Canadian airports do US customs and immigration

Mine flew Casablanca - Frankfurt - Chicago
Customs/immigration was super simple and quick in his experience.

Like mentioned above, no transit visa is needed to transit through the EU as long as you don't leave the secure area of the airport.

Great news about your fiance's visa progress, everything sounds very promising! 😊

10 months in AP, CR-1 Visa. Case at Casablanca, Morocco. Will be 12 months in October. Hoping for a miracle.

Anyone else has news from Morocco? I feel like I’m the only one with a case in Morocco.

our priority date is july 5, 2017. my husband's interview was finally march 5, 2019 in casablanca. he was placed in administrative processing and told he would receive an email. they kept his passport. later that day, he received the ds5535 via email and he responded to it the same day. we received an updated date on CEAC 8 times and the 9th one was today, reading "issued."

    Alhamdulillah!

December 2018. But, I have been monitoring the progress or lack of progress of the Ds-5535 form.
Mainly because my wife and I expected this dreadful form; She is from Fez, an imperial city that has not been liked lately.
Honestly, I am not sure what to do because I can not move there, and obviously she can not move here. I wish I had known
she would not be able to come here. It would have saved us money and perhaps, we would have not pursued each other.
Marriage and family are meant to be under one roof, or at least know when they would be together. Currently, there is no indication we will have a normal life, together in one home where I make a living and feel at home. I have a great career here in my country, and it would be almost a career suicide to move to Morocco. Add to that my entire family is here and I can not imagine myself living overseas. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of assuming I, a proud Us citizen, have the right to marry whomever and bring her home. I paid fees and went through all the steps without an RFE nor a Sponsor. My wife had never left Morocco nor done anything to raise a flag for this Ds form. BUt, it is what it is and we are just taking it one day at a time and keep praying and hoping for a miracle.

Finally got our NOA2!!! Weird thing tho....we were approved last week! When we called this week to get a status they still were going off of the rfe date. No websites updates. No text or email. Just a random letter in mail. At least stage 1 is complete! That's a ride I never want to get on again 😱

just called. first rep was extremely nice! told us we are 18 days away from 60 days for our RFE but acknowledged we are OUTSIDE processing times for sure! Even had a nice conversation about how backlogged they are!! They are demanding every worker to work 4+ hours overtime 3 days a week to try and get ahead! she said it's something serious and everyone is overworked and grumpy. She said we are in adjudication and will hopefully hear something before or on the 60 day mark. She also said that they mailed out a letter dated Oct 9th about my online inquiry but I never received it. I asked her if they can send it out again and she patched me thru to a Tier 2.

This guy 'Torris' was a NIGHTMARE!!! First of all, quite rude right off the bat. Asked for my street address - Can someone please tell me what they think their 'street address' would be??

In my world, street address is my physical -  so that's what I gave him. He said why are you giving me false information? Are you the beneficiary? I said NO I'm the petitioner and that's exactly what you asked for. He said well tell me another address and let's see if you tell the truth this time..... 😠 so I gave him my mailing address (Po Box) and he said now I can help you. What are you calling for?

Then instead of hearing what I was calling about, he wanted to question me and fight me why I gave him a wrong address. I said it's not wrong. You're getting off the subject why I'm calling. You asked for a street address and that's what I gave you. If you wanted a mailing address you should have said that (since everyone else I ever spoke to at USCIS asked for mailing).

I told him all I want to know is the letter that was mailed out Oct 9th, can you resend it since I never received it and I like to keep complete correspondence from this whole process. He said I can't do that. I said why not?? His response: I can't send you something again that came from us since you lied about your address.

OMG DUDE!!! Why are you still on this topic!?!?

He said do you want a copy of your RFE? I said now why would I want that when I already responded and you guys already gave confirmation of receiving it....your not making any sense and it shouldn't be this difficult.

I said if there is any letter coming out from you guys, then you should have a copy saved somewhere since it's permanently with our petitions during this whole ride. So again, I'm asking for a copy of the letter that was sent out since I never received it. Can you at least tell me what it was or email it to me??

He said the only thing he could do is resubmit another inquiry again for me online. I said that won't work since you are telling me we are within our processing window and no one will ever pay attention to those kind of inquiries. So what good is that for me?

He then proceeded to end the call by saying, well if there is nothing else you have to ask me then thanks for calling and HUNG UP!

How do you make complaints against reps??

At least the first one was super nice and gave me some kind of information about our status so far....

I put ours in the envelope they sent, and then sent it via priority mail so I could track it. The post office just put that envelope inside the priority envelope with a clear window on front. It arrived 2 days later, and USCIS acknowledged receipt of it 2 days after that.

The fees listed on the doctor's list provided by the consulate are not accurate. We paid 2800 dirhams in June 2017. It wouldn't surprise me if the price is a bit higher now. I've never heard of anyone paying less than 2500 mad.

Just to clarify about the waiver YES you will need to submit a waiver. If you have 2 or more petitions OR if you have an approved petition in the 2 year window (from the date of your NOA1). I know this cuz I just got an RFE yesterday and they explained this policy and what information they need in detail. My first petiton was with my ex in 2016. He failed in both our relationship and interview and things just went downhill from there. I met my fiance now months after that and here we are

Don't feel too scared about the timeline of your new relationship. I've known people who met only weeks from their last one and they filed. Just make sure you have strong supporting evidence and be prepared in case they ask you about your previous file and what makes this one different from your last.
