jstryker got a reaction from JC&BS in K1 Visa Interview. How do you organize paperwork?
Very simple.   Its says in the i129F instructions "Two - HOLE punch system is appreciated"

I always remind someone asking this question - "Do you want USCIS to APPRECIATE your work - or despise having to have been assigned it?"

    You make the choice.

Go to Stapes store - get a regular legal sized folder.

Beg/Borrow/Steal/Use a 2 hole punch to punch holes in the binder.   Purchase a 2-hole fastener.

Punch all of the paperwork as you insert into the binder according to the Table of Contents that you were of course going to put as the top of the stack!

Ours was done this way - all 187 pages and we were approved in record time.

jstryker reacted to Moomin in EAD and AP - Are they approved together?
I have receipts/Noa1 for all three. The online status updated to approved on the AP but nothing more after that. EAD updated to approved and then card production. Don't put all your trust into the online case status; some people never get updates.
Wait until you receive the card in mail, and if there's a mistake/missing AP, make an infopass appointment.

It was a copy of the NOA2 from USCIS that you need to supply with the packet.

Congrats.   We are two days out from her arrival in San Francisco.  She's packing and keeps sending me pictures of her packing.  LOL.  She gonna find out about 50F weather.

I hope a Tuesday arrival is not too packed at the airport/customs.

When you know the money was paid for work done and you file a tax return with the amount listed as a gift, that is fraud and the IRS will gladly put the people involved in prison for 3-5 years.

The OP is a tax evader and so is his boss, they both need to be reported and put in jail.  I feel sorry for this innocent girl coming here to live a life of crime because her boyfriend (and most of Texas apparently per OP) in paying taxes so it's ok to cheat the government.

People like this annoy me because I pay almost 6 figures in taxes every year so freeloaders like this can enjoy all the benefits of it.  He needs to be put in jail.

This poor girl doesn't know what she's getting into with this clown, she'll have her life disrupted because she'll come here get married, but will not pass AOS without 3+ years tax transcripts showing legitimate income, and she will need to go back to her country.  Hopefully, the embassy won't let it get that far and they'll deny the k1 petition and save her from him.

By the way, this guy knew all along that he wasn't having taxes withheld and went along with it.  He's not shocked to find out this fraud.  He's been part of it for as long as he worked there.  He's no innocent victim but a co-conspirator.

We are beating a dead horse at this point.   I think the OP has had his question answered long ago.   Any further additions is just for sheer entertainment purposes now.   Someone should close this thread.

Any adult working a job of any sort knows taxes are to be paid... And any under the table arrangements are not without risk.  You cannot migrate to the U.S or help someone do so with such shady arrangements.  You need to refocus and get your priorities straightened out.

You have to live with your spouse for at least 6 months in Russia before you guys could do DCF. So it takes time and again you will also have to do security check with DCF.

If you intend to fly - you will need your passport for ID.

Traveling by vehicle no one will need your passport going from state to state - however you should have it just in case you are asked for ID (renting a car, traffic citation, etc)

Ensure she has a copy of her vaccinations from St Lukes, they are pretty good at giving a copy of it...the DS32 something, can't remember the number off top of my head.

Long as she does not have any criminal records, then no she does not need a police certificate or anything for AOS process.

Yes, a few copies of her BC is a good idea to bring along also. For AOS they just ask for a copy of it but still.

I remember busting this K1 application into FEDEX (Kinkos 24 hour) 10:00pm on a Sunday night back in October....    Then the waiting... and waiting... and fretting... and irritating SAGOT   LOL

Fiance's Interview was yesterday Feb 8th in Manila ... CEAC status says "ISSUED" as of this morning.

Word of note:   The interviewer was a PHALLUS (trying to be polite)

He grilled her and accused her of just wanting a green card.

He told her "You do know you are number 3 - are you ok with that?    You are ok that he was arrested for Domestic Violence?   No woman wants that - it seems to me you are in it just for the visa"

She had a copy of the court transcripts/official records from 1999 and says - "No - the charges were dropped.  He was not convicted of Domestic Violence" as she pointed to the checkbox where it shows Counts 1 and 2 were dismissed.   Kept grilling her over stupid things.

Now we just waiting for the courier to deliver to the mall.    And then that stupid CFR or whatever that is.

    Oh and for the curious...

They called her back out of her seat while she was waiting after the first interview to produce her Police Clearances... remember this is why I pulled my hair out.

So she produced the one from Macau - no problem.  But then told her she did not have one from Dubai.    They said OK and didnt ask anything else.

Hey - remember that you wont be getting an immigrant packet attached to your envelope...  a lot of things referred us to this envelope so we were concerned for about a day that we were missing/lost something.

Since we are K1's we do not have this immigrant packet - so dont pull your hair out looking for it.

Though your answer is very simplistic and will get to the outcome it's not necessary the best path. BTW I agree with your logic but the path of getting there is the difficult part especially if you want to rake this guy over the coals.

She would want him to divorce her so in the future if she wants to remarry she can. Second is the income. He's bound to her and the US Government for 10 years. Then it's about what she wants to do, stay in USA or return to the Philippines.  So many factors she needs to consider and as little or no knowledge about therefore a good attorney would help her out and she could get him to pay for her lawyer.

    Thanks for your insight.

Congrats on the interview. We had ours on the 8th also and are now waiting for the courier. I am having an issue with the ceac website. None of the clickable boxes work (I've used Chrome/IE/Safari) and the document delivery instructions box is not populated. Her appointment history shows "scheduled". Her appointment confirmation did have the document delivery information correct with her home address. Anyone have similar issues? I was able to send an email to the contractor that manages the website but that might be a gamble at best. I imagine the best thing to do would be to call the Embassy on Monday to confirm they have the correct information.

My fiancé went to his interview today. He said it went ok but they couldn't tell him that he was approved because his medical results hadn't reached the embassy yet. So now, we are in AP status. Hopefully the medical is ok
