How unfortunate this comes from the country I love. Yet, false marriage is very common in the Philippines. Many people felt no shame to ask if I can marry them for a green card or get to know my friends from US to marry. I know someone who's asking me for help on the immigration process but I decline because I know she's in it for the green card and the guy is in it for the money. Honest people are suffering in the waiting process to be with their loved ones because the horrible dishonest people are in the way.

Oh wow this is an old post!! My husband who's been here for one year already is working as an RN in Mount Sinai. However, he did get in with connections, he's not struggling though. He has been doing well career wise and immigration wise. Thanks all! 

I'm saying NCLEX-NY because he took his license for NY. Yes, you can take the exam internationally, but you need to take it for a specific state. Didn't think anyone would take is so technically, since this is a visa site not nursing site.
He doesn't need to have experience from the Philippines to get a job in the USA, but most American hospitals or organizations PREFER experience.
Obviously, I know we are in America that's why I asked for advice on what he can do, since he just immigrated.

And please, OP - even if you want to try to get through this, don't pay for her annulment.  Your lover got herself into the mess she is in, and you need to make sure SHE can get herself out of it.
 
Been there.  Done that.  And boy, was it NOT worth it.  I paid for someone's dissolution of marriage, but luckily realized I was being taken for a ride before I up and married that person.  Whew.
 
Time seems so precious when you are 20.  You are her immediate ticket out of an unfortunate situation.  Don't be that ticket.

I would agree with this. I dont buy the story of "just signing the paperworks at the hospital" to make the processing of her kid's birth certificate easier. I am from Philippines and obtaining a marriage license in Philippines is not as easy and quick as compared in U.S. She is obviously married and she hid that fact from you. In Philippines, you cannot get a marriage license in just 2days. 
You have to attend a pre-wedding seminar. And if you are 25years old and below, you need parent's advice/consent. 
 
What I am trying to say is... Marriage in Philippines is a long complex process. One cannot simply say, I didnt know I was married. I signed something and I didn't know it's a marriage thing. Philippines is semi-conservative. Having a baby before marriage is not socially accepted on some parts of the country and so some rush into marriage knowing that there is a baby on the way. It's still planned marriage though. 

You shouldn't have any problems.

I would recommend your husband open up his nursing social networks as wide as possible.  As the old saying goes - Sometimes its who you know and not what you know that matters.
Join the local nursing association and attend meetings Visit the local nursing schools and universities.  Many times, they have job openings posted. Create a Linkedin account and connect with local nurses and recruiters  Sign up with a local medical staffing agency The more nurses he knows in the area, the higher chance one of them can offer a referral when a nursing position opens.

Try the Veterans Administration.
Majority of nursing staff that I have seen at the VA are from the Philippines and they do great work and I believe they are always looking for help.

Duterte reminds me of the brainless bullies from high school. Always abusing smaller/weaker kids, while running their mouths and picking fights with bigger kids just to prove how tough they were. It's an unfortunate fact of life that there are people like that in this world, but it's really awful when one of them becomes a world leader.
He may very well be courting China and Russia because those are countries where it's perfectly acceptable to assassinate political rivals and execute pesky journalists asking too many questions. With us, he has to deal with annoying Pollyanna conversations about things like "human rights" and "rule of law". With Russia and China, those meetings are probably more along the lines of "Bullying Best Practices". smh
It may be a year or more before I can afford to bring my fiancee and her son here to the USA. I admit that I'm pretty concerned about what the situation may be there when I can finally try to get them out.

I am always confused on that, last year the USA send foreign aid to the Philippines to the tune of $175 MILLION DOLLARS (not pesos), PLUS $50 MILLION DOLLARS in military financing. In 2016 the military aid was increased to $79 MILLION !!
And this does not count the 3.4 MILLION Filipino-Americans that send money back to the Philippines.
Ya the USA is the ROOT OF ALL EVIL in the Philippines... and there is no corruption in the Philippines (wonder where that $175 MILLION gets spent?)

I can only say I'm not surprised by his actions and talk. What concerns me is if the Filipino population would stand up against him not if, but when he starts down the Marcos path. It's something that Filipinos must consider.
This is how American's get kicked in the teeth. Maybe we should pick up our toys and go home and when Duturte calls my be no one will be home to answer his call typhoon or no typhoon.
