There is no way you guys should take that chance if she does not have the AP or Green card at that time. 
 
Also there is no fee for the AP (and EAD) when filed with the AOS the fee is waived. You can still file it and get the fee waived with a copy of your NOA1 from I-485 but it will not arrive for October.

Have you two tried marriage counseling? 
 
Have you and the family considered moving away to be distant from the inlaws, if they're the root of your marital problems? Why would you move without informing your wife and the risks of abandoning her and an infant child? You would be legally responsible for child support no matter where you live.

Joint lease/mortgage Joint tax returns Joint bank/savings account Joint health insurance Joint car insurance policies Joint Car note Life insurance policies and so forth Where did you read or find information stating texts were required for ROC?

Fact is you don't need texts or calls history for I-751. Focus on real stuffs like finances, insurances, motrage... we didn't even send pics  on my i751 back then.

Why didn't you think about this before your fiancé spent all this time, money and energy to get you here? Contrary to popular belief, the streets are not paved in gold. Your fiancé paid a lot of money and spent a lot of time to bring you here. Additionally, he sacrificed a lot. I know I did. Just because this whole process for you was "Free" does not mean it was free for him.

Evidence of relationship is not sent off in the AOS package. It is collected and kept for during interview time (if one is requested).

If he is abusive just because she brought him doesn't mean immigration will not help her "get rid of him" US Citizens have the upmost right for protection. As it is true she cannot withdraw from AOS she can withdraw from the Affidavit of Support and he will automatically be denied. I know because I did it with my ex. Be careful on what kind of advice you give here unless you work for immigration or have gone through the situation and opinion doesn't help.
