Hi all,
My last post here. I was originally scheduled to be interviewed on 3/31/2020 in San Francisco. Was canceled due to COVID on 3/16/2020.
I got rescheduled for my interview on 8/18/2020. Interview date was yesterday 9/22/2020 at San Francisco.
Interview was straight forward. IO was very nice and chit chatted. Civics/Reading/Writing tests passed.
I was told at the end of my interview that they are doing same day naturalization. I was not expecting that. I wanted family to be present but they said even if they did it later family would not be allowed to witness the ceremony and there would be no large ceremony.
So I officially became a US citizen yesterday 9/22/2020 with 8 other people after being in this country for over 20 years. They did not have any additional services present (voter registration/passport application/ social security). I applied to register as a voter yesterday online and will apply for my passport today.
Good luck to all and have patience, it will happen even with COVID slowing everything down.
Congrats to reaching the end of the road

Cancelling a week prior is not that unusual. I had my first interview cancelled with a call from the USCIS officer responsible for my case on the Friday before the Monday it was scheduled to take place. I am not a US Citizen. Not need to worry. They will reschedule you.

@KP2019 alternatively, you can track the money order and see if was cashed. If that's the case, it may be due to a typographical error on your part.

That's normal. I think she would have told you that you would receive the certificate back at a different time.

Also, it's unlikely that you will get an annulment; which he has no reason to agree with. He can just say he fell out of love and wants a divorce because of some type of abuse or anything for that matter. Since he already has his conditional green card, you cannot do much if anything at all to him.
Florida divorce lawyer and immigration attorneys explain that divorce or annulment may require the immigrant spouse to file the form with a waiver and proof (joint bank account statements, children’s birth certificates, mortgage or rental agreement signed together, statements from marriage counselors and therapists, etc.) that the marriage, though it ended, was real. Immigration status gets even more complicated if the divorce is not final when the I-751 form is due. Excerpt from here

But how long did you tell them you stay in the US? You need to check you I-94 to find out the length of stay that was allowed. You visa is one thing; your stay another. Shy of 6 months you were practically living here.

There is no issue with grammatically. I think most of the confusion comes the use of the word ONLY in the sentence, whereas a simple VALID FOR WORK WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION or use more common language like VALID FOR WORK WITH WORK PERMIT.
Legalese are no fun to read and seems to be unclear on purpose.

A clearer statement would be: SSN REQUIRES DHS AUTHORIZATION FOR WORK" or "SSN NOT VALID FOR WORK WITHOUT DHS AUTHORIZATION".
There's a bit of an ambiguity with the statement when it's not read properly.
