  1. Help!

I was legally separated from my ex husband since mid 2013 and moved across the country from him since. The divorce was granted on January 3, 2014.

I didn't make any money last year. My ex husband did, as usual.

I've never met or talked with my ex since I moved. (He has been sending nasty emails and facebook messages to all my friends, making up horrible stories about me, and somehow came up with the idea that I am now working as a prostitute in Europe).

Today I received a letter from the IRS in my new address in California, stating that I owe them almost $3,000, and that on April 07, 2014 a return was filed under my name as "married filing jointly".

It must have been my ex husband filing and forging my signature.

I'm very worried. I dialed the number on the IRS letter 631-447-4826 but no one picked up and I was hung up on.

What do I have to do? I'm freaking out! Please help!

I googled that phone # that you listed and it comes up as a Patchogue number in Long Island, NY. There is no IRS office located there. Call 1-800-829-1040 and verify that you received a letter from them, it might be fraud.
  2. You should contact the chief consul a.s.a.p and rattle their cage for a second interview yourself in addition to your representative.

CO's are given the discretionary umbrella of " lack of bona fide relationship " as a canned answer and that is probably the answer

you will get, no matter how many pounds of proof you haul in.

If they refuse to reverse their decision then your petition will be returned and expire. CSC never reaffirms returned K1's. I have not seen

any Texas service center K1 returns reaffirmed as of yet.

You can try another K1 but a CR1 would carry more punch.

I feel you on this because we are on our second k1 currently, wasted 9 months to fight it like crazy. Nothing worked.

We had the same issue with getting married due to paperwork BS with the officials. They say one thing and do another.

You can also do a FOIA now just in case they have a reason they did not want to reveal that you can then address

    with your second petition.

I filed a FOIA and never got a response. My Senator also told me that because I made so many inquiries they actually held my case. I refiled a K-1 after 3 years and the 2nd time around was no problem.
  3. I been confused a little .. i went to my country on october 2013 i met this girl and i got engaged with her while i was married with this USC wife in America and then when i came back from my country on end of october and then i got my citizenship on january 2014 . and now i will apply for divorce ...im planing that after i get my divorce paper can i apply for I 130 for K 1 visa for the girl i met in back home or you advise me go again to back home after i divorce my USC wife and get engaged one more time and then come back and apply...

I'd say buy a one-way ticket back because you're probably going to hit a few bumps in the road.

  4. Not to be rude, but your chances of getting a tourist visa are very slim. You probably would have a better chance of visiting the moon star_smile.gif If I were you I would take advantage of your free time now and prepare for that special day....the interview. Many folks here can tell you, including myself, that the Moroccan Consulate is a tough one.

  5. We always fly with Royal Air Maroc, not the best but they fly non-stop to JFK. We've never had any issues with them.

@Etrangais I usually use RAM myself. Like you said, gets the job done. But the flights are crazy expensive even after New years, $1000+ one way :/ I was hoping to get by spending $600-$800.

Try a round trip quote, sometimes it costs less then a one-way.
