I don't believe that USCIS has the right do disclose her medical information at an interview due to the The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). And if she were to seek any medical treatment in the USA she has the right to privacy, even from her husband unless she signs permission for him to know.

Yes legally a TOURIST only. You must show ties to Algeria, meaning you will go back to Algeria. If you intend to visit the USA and marry your fiancé then that would be considered fraud.

Has anyone done walk-in biometrics appt at Varick Street office in Manhattan? My wife did a walk in 2 years ago for her AOS and had no problems. She is going tomorrow to do a walk in so wanted to know if anyone had any experience there recently.

Not sure about Varick street but my hubby walked in today at a Queens location and they did his biometrics.

You should be receiving a biometrics letter soon and after that plan on waiting about 6 to 12 months for a notice or decision. 50/50 chance on a interview.

For those of you who contacted your senator or congress-person...how long did they take to get back to you? I contacted my senator (Kirsten Gillibrand - New York) about a month ago (03/19) and I am still waiting to hear back...I'm sure they are busy because it's a New York office and I'm sure the embassy also takes a while to respond to the inquiry...but I'm getting anxious...I talked to them over the phone a while ago and they had all of the info they needed...but how long should I expect to wait for a response? This whole process really tests your patience...

I would say wait a few months before jumping the gun. You need to know why they sent your case back first. Have you contacted your Congressman/Senator to do an inquiry?

You are dealing with the US Consulate. There have been cases where the consulate officer has called family to verify the relationship, especially from a MENA country.
