This process can make anyone crazy. To the OP- lying will not get you anywhere, if anything it could just make matters worse. Hang in there!

I'm starting to lose it. On the FOURTH visit to the IRS today, after filling out paperwork to formally request a tax return transcript last week, my husband was handed... a 1-page account summary. This is obviously different from the actual tax return transcript which is 5-6 pages, and which is what we have for the prior 2 years.
Has anyone tried applying with the IRS "account summary" transcript as opposed to the line-by-line tax return transcript? I'm just mad at this point that the damn IRS office doesn't give a damn about anything. I might just have to send in option a), with all the same bank accounts, leases, and tax documents that I submitted for ROC.
Just FYI otta- I went to the Rego Park, Queens location today. There was only a 20 minute wait and I got the return transcripts for each year. I was even asked if it's needed for Immigration. They were really pleasant too!

Good luck with that! After THREE visits to the downtown Manhattan (290 Broadway) IRS office, we still don't have our 2012 transcript. The online & phone systems wouldn't take our address, so we need to get the transcript in person, as well. The first time we went, we were told they only do transcripts until 12pm. Second time we went in the morning, there were still dozens of people ahead after waiting for 2 hours. Third time, we were flat out refused, saying they don't so transcripts now, because of the volume of work they have (tax season). They let us fill out a form and said the transcript would be available for pick up in a week... We'll find out on Wednesday. I was eligible to send in my N400 over a week ago, but am still waiting for this...
Maybe try another IRS office or at least be prepared you may not get the transcript on your first try. Looks like NYC IRS offices are just as slow compared to the rest of the country as our USCIS office :-) I'm incredulous when I see posts from VJers from other parts of the country saying their IRS transcript experience was "5 minutes in and out of the office." Good luck! Let me know if you find a better IRS office, maybe I'll try elsewhere...
Wow thanks for the heads up! I'm going to the one in Rego Park, Queens. I'll follow up with my results.

Getting all papers ready I requested tax transcripts online about a month ago and still nothing, looks like a visit tomorrow to my local IRS office I definitely need a vacation after all of this!

Wow, 3 years ! You two are very patient
We had our moments lol, but we made it. It actually made a difference in our relationship for the best. It's now 8 years since we first met and no regrets. Our visa journey is almost done and I can't wait for the finish line! Your time will come soon, just enjoy it while you can. The fun begins when they get here, at least 1 year adjustment. That's when you pray for patience

Contact your local non-profit hospital, they may have their own healthcare plan or knowledge of one. I work for a non-profit hospital in NY that recently established their own healthcare plan that's offered to the public due to the Affordable Healthcare Act.

Black ink is preferred on most legal documents, it outlasts blue. It all depends on who is handling your forms, hopefully they're in a good mood . Personally I don't think you will have a problem.

I never received any notice from our first k1, I refiled 3 years later and he's now here with me. They really amaze me.

Congrats to everyone for those still waiting, hang in!

I believe it depends on the local service center, many are over-loaded with cases so a large percentage of AOS cases get approved without an interview. Same for ROC as it stands right now.

I just read your post and had to laugh. My husband moans too and we live in NYC! He's been working at JFK airport close to 3 years now and started at the bottom but has since been promoted 3 times and still complains lol.
