Gorkhali reacted to Rocio0010 in outside US long periods with ROC pending
Well, here’s the thing: if OP thinks we’re grilling him with questions because the story doesn’t add up, it probably won’t add up either to the officer reviewing the case.

By the way Op has been typing non stop with a broken finger. A miracle has happened!

I understand. I guess those overseas keyboards are super ergonomic.

Gorkhali reacted to Crazy Cat in Can you hide your travel history in the interview with the consular
Misrepresentation can result in very serious consequences...... Don't lie on immigration forms and don't lie to immigration officers.

I had my interview this morning in Denver. AND I GOT APPROVED AND HAD THE OATH CEREMONY AS WELL. I can't tell you guys the emotions that are going through my mind and body at this moment. I kind of cried in front of the officer, and she was beaming.
Once I came out, I cried all the way home. I couldn't believe that we are done with this process and couldn't believe how arduous this whole journey had been. We cried, laughed and cried all the way back home today. I was able to secure an appointment for a passport for Jan 5th. So, finally, we are done with the immigration process.
Thank you all for all the kind words and support. VJ has been a fantastic resource.

Gorkhali reacted to Rocio0010 in My first time trying to apply for a visa with a letter from a friend (citizen) in LA
Wait, what? No!!! You do not have the right to work as a tourist.
Do some serios research .

No, a letter is neither needed nor can it increase your possibilities. If anything, it can hurt you. You need to apply on your own merits for a tourist visa -mainly proving strong ties to your home country.

Gorkhali reacted to Just Paul in And we are done!
Mary had her interview this morning in Phoenix. It took about five minutes after waiting about an hour. I was outside in the car and she called me crying; I thought some disaster happened. Took about 45 minutes then she and 5 other were naturalized.
We have a trip to London next week so the only Passport Offices with openings are Honolulu, San Juan and El Paso! We will work on reacquiring her Filipino Citizenship when we return.
Thanks for all the support!

Gorkhali reacted to JeanneAdil in My wife got a divorce 5 months now and we just got married and she went back to usa can she apply for my visa there now or we still have to wait
Was her marriage to another immigrant?
or to a USC like her?
9 years is not as big an age difference for visa from Morocco
and it is good she did not marry the 1st visit
she can apply as soon as she has the original marriage certificate and a certified English translation
Now to really help u
1. she should join the site and follow the Morocco portal
2. she should do a timeline so we can follow the case progress and advise her on any issues she may have
3. it will be 18 to 24 months to complete to the interview for your visa if u r approved
4. she should try to visit you again before the interview
5. she should save boarding passes and proofs of each visit
5. u married this year (and this is very important in Morocco) so she needs to fill as married and add u to her 2021 tax returns
please tell her to message and ask how IRS says to do this / important that when married to a Moroccan , we show we have started to commingle fiances
and Congratiulations
Practice your English skills
and learn how to drive before u leave Morocco as driving lessons are expensive here so help her save this expense
allah yekbel

He also said he would cure cancer. As someone who has lost way too many family members to cancer, and whose husband is currently fighting cancer, I’d rather he did that before he reduces the N-400 waiting time.

fellas remember its always a waiting game with USCIS. Patience is the key. Just be grateful that we are with our loved ones and have a life while we go through the process.
