My AOS took almost a year. I did apply for an EAD at the same time since it was free if you would do it together. So why not? I got my EAD in 2-3 months.

Little update from me. I received an email this afternoon that my passport book has been shipped 😁.

Approved & shipped: 11/11/2021

Got approved! Took a little over 6 weeks from them receiving the application and just over 7 weeks since I applied at a local USPS office.

Expedited Service from NY
Applied: Dec 7th USPS
Received by Passport center : Dec 15
Approved and Shipped: Jan 11th

I just moved from AL to TX.

I went to the SSA office this morning and they didn't need my original certificate, I had it with me and she said it doesn't matter copy or original is fine.  But this might be different per office or the person that is helping you.

No, I didn't make an appointment. But she probably already pulled my SSN number in the system right before she called me to her window (my guess lol). She said good morning your here to update your records to US citizenship? It's been almost a month since I became an citizen. But it was smooth and easy for me. 

I'm sure it can be any office, as SS is federal, and there are no local differences.

Received my interview date today! Feb 18th. 
 
Contacted the consulate about the doctor thing, and they now directed me to DC Klinieken in Amsterdam. So I guess there's no 1 fixed physician they use for now...

I want to wish you all a Happy New year, hopefully it won't take much longer for you all that are still waiting. Today was my Oath ceremony and I'm so glad it's all over! it's been a long journey, I'm proud to be a US citizen 😄.

I came to the US in 2014 with a K1 visa, my AOS got approved in may 2015. In 2017 I applied for ROC this got approved in 2018..I was eligible to apply for citizenship during the process, however I waited. I applied in May 2019 and I will have my Oath ceremony tomorrow. I think it depends on the office. I had my interview 2 days before yours and I got the date of the oath at the interview. My oath will be tomorrow.
