Well i was a professional in my home country.
I have masters degree and worked as high school teacher.
When i came here i brought my saved money with me.It was not much though.I never ever looked at what he was earning and what he has to give me.I never asked him the money since its my nature to be self dependent.It was enough for me that he was paying rent and paying for groceries in starting as i did not have job to pay for.Few times even i felt it was a lot of burden on him since i was not working and wanted to help him financially.
After couple of months i tried i think emailed around 1000 resumes and finally got job.Well it was retail and not my field of studies.I commuted long hours for job.I paid for commute and took care of all my expenses.After that i didnt need to ask for money anymore.I put my efforts and succeeded in retail.
Now i am working as manager in different company which i applied last year,earning double than what my husband makes.He always bought gift by himself if he ever wanted,i never expected it though.
Today i have more savings than him,I help him in his financial responsibilities and working to get certification to increase my pay.
But i must admit that my husband never said no to my requirements.It is me who spends limitedly.
In the starting he was paying for my phone bill thats it.He bought me basic phone which i used untill last year Sep.When i got full time job then bought iPhone by myself.I always said no to him for any useless expense on me,so he always bought surprise gifts for me because i get angry for wasting money.
So it all depends on family budget and responsibilities what your husband has.
May be he is expecting spouse to cooperate in financial situation.
So try to understand him for his actions,if you don't find them genuine then look for opportunities in market.

Searching someone on dating site while being married and stating single is called over-smartness, opportunist and cheating. Husband just wants to remain married for immigration purpose. If his status had been cleared, he must had dumped her after getting permanent GC. So technically he is waiting for time to dump her and searching another woman on a dating site. I don't understand the meaning of 'his new life'.
I never said that thinking about withdrawing sponsorship or ruining his life is justified on the part of OP. She can file for divorce on the basis of cheating or send letter to USCIS for the beneficiary's immigration intentions of marriage and move on in her life.

1.A woman unwillingly marries you and moves to this country 2 months before filing I751 just for a green card.
2.Her intentions are clear as soon as she moves here. She asks you to leave.
3.You already know that marriage can't be worked out and divorce is inevitable.
4.You want to remain married to her just for health insurance which you need urgently. After knowing that she
never loved you, never tried to live with you and not willing to work out this relationship you are still worried about her status and keep on asking different scenario questions about I751.
That is why you still had a positive relationship with her until about 3 weeks ago (are you serious).
Either you are not telling the other half of the story or its just helping someone for money. You both know there is no relationship going on, it's just a deal for money which you did with her.

When i came to this country, i thought of proceeding as teacher ( as i was teacher in my home country). I applied to sfud (san francisco unified school district). I had experience of 7 years as teacher and experience of international schools. They gave me even experience certificate which i added with job application.
I got my degrees evaluated, its equavalent to US masters and got CA teaching certification. After 2 months of applying when i didnot get any response, one day i was working in business area of my apt building, i happened to talk to sfud teacher who lives in apt building for last 10 years. She listened to my story and approached sfud on my behalf. On her assistance i got rejection email after 1 week. I went to in person to the office and asked what should i do in order to imporve myself as teacher or what's the reason of rejection. To my surpirse the guy didn't give me any reason and instead said nobody knows the rejection reason. I wanted to meet the manager he didn't allow.
On the other side lot of my relatives and friends told me stories about these consultants. I was never convinced with the idea of faking resume and getting job in IT with it.
So here i am working hard in sales everyday, the field in which i never worked in my home country,applied with real resume and getting lot less than what one can get in IT.
All i can say its difficult to stick to principals in this hard economy where you see people around you getting benefitted with lies.
But i am still not convinced with the idea of faking resume.

Why is everyone tearing apart his writing skills? He came asking if anyone had advice on employment, not written or language skills. He has a masters, it isn't as though he isn't educated. He said his degree is up to US standards, he doesn't need to go back to school.
OP: It took my husband 10 full months after he was in the US to find a job in is field, he sent literally hundreds of resumes and went on dozens of interviews with no luck. In the interim he worked at Walmart just because he was bored sitting around at home. The job he was finally hired for in his field was as an intern, he had to get his foot in the door somewhere and not many companies are willing to hire a new immigrant with no US experience. The internship was for 6 months but the company ended up hiring him permanently after 4 months, with a good salary and very good benefits. His degree is up to US standards like yours, but the economy is tough even for US citizens who were born and educated here. The only thing you can do is keep trying and make sure your resume is up to US standards. There are many online sites to compare and help build your resume if you aren't sure if it is. Something will come up you just need to be patient. Like I said in his economy it's tough for everyone out there.

Its better to send it with overnight priority mail with tracking # with signature confirmation.
Its expensive,but not more than the worries you will have till you get NOA.
One gets NOA usually within 2-5 days after filing in normal cases.

I agree to it to some extent,recently somebody told me that they already have some system to find out whether you are living together or just faking.
But they would not want to run background check before submitting application,because they want to see the history for 2 years not before that in the middle.
There is standard time of 6 months for whole process but there should be 2 or 3 months time frame after bio for ending initial review stage at least.

I filed I-751 base on extreme cruelty and abuse in Dec 2012.I got NOA 1 in December and that is all.
I received REF in November 2013 asking for more evidence proving bonafied marriage.
I sent RFE answer on January 22,2014.Got interview notice this April and was there today (29th) at 1pm for my interview.
I went there about 1 hour earlier. After I check in I wait for about 45 min when a woman of about 55 - 60 I guess called my name.
She greated me and walk me to her room. She said I will interview you today but before you seat down I will have u sear that you are only going
to tell nothing but the true. I wear .We sat down face to face like on a dining table.
She took my form I-751 and basically asking me same questions I answer on them. Like my name, my address, my age, my ex-wife name , age....
After that she ask How we met ?which year? how long before getting married, How is my relation with her family, How was she behaving before and after I got here
Tell her about the abused stuffs? Was she on drug or anything else? Does control anything I do? Supposing I was in my country and my wife was behaving that way what will I do?
She asked where did I live when I got here? Do we have kids together ? Does she have any? do I have any? Did we leave in apartment or house?
She ask about how I end up in a domestic violence shelter ? Did I go through any therapy? Any letter proving that all that?She said I will keep the original documents from the shelter in my file and I will give you copies. And her last question was, "do u know your wife contact immigration that she will not sponsor you again so she want us to deport you?"
After all she said, I will go ahead and approve your green card. You will received it in about 10days in the address you put the I-751 or do you want us to send it somewhere else?
Do you have any question? I only said thanks you? she said then we are done. See you one day again somewhere else. She walked me out and said bye bye bye!!!!
Immigration knows some US citizens bring foreigners here and think they have all the right over them, like they don't have a say just because they are not Americans.
But it is a lie...when the time come they will know if you marry for good or you are a scammer. Just present your case ,and what you don't know about don't try it ask for help and do it the right way.
