I second this, sounds like OP is only interested in living in the US no matter what it takes. That's not what the K-1 is meant to be for. It's to be with someone you love who happens to live in the US.

No. The NoA 1 and 2 is very clear that it does not grant any sort of immigration status. She can certainly fill out the paperwork with her fella and send it in while she's here, and that might even be a good idea since it'll be a lot easier to get original signatures on things rather than having to send them through the mail, but she's still bound fully by the terms and conditions of the visa she used to enter the country, (work, vistor, etc.) filing does not change any of that.

Yes, it is a requirement that you have met in person in the 2 years prior to filing the I-129F petition, so you do need to factor in those dates. You can always plan another trip between now and when she finishes school, and that will take care of that. As for the money issue, does she have student income? That could be one way to get around it. The other way is for her to find a co-sponsor as many Embassies will accept that. The co-sponsor will have to make above the poverty guideline for their own household plus you.
There are ways to get around the money issue, if that's your only problem, it's not the biggest deal. You having met in person is much more important, as if you don't meet that requirement, the petition will be denied.

One thing I would like to enlighten folk on because I really don't think many realize how important this interview portion is for many.
When I was at the Consulate in Lagos doing my passport thing I was there 5 hours and heard quite abit. I even had the CO's alone an hour after closing and did my own Q & A. And no they don't like nor want the CO said petitioners in the interview They want the beneficiary to be able to stand on their own.
This interview is no different than a job interview and the evidence (your resume) you present need to match up to the person they see. I saw and heard CO's asking the beneficiary's to read poetry they said they wrote, sing songs and one he had read just a simple letter. because the letter was written like an American would write (the CO said) and the beneficiary who was Nigerian who barely could speak english said he wrote so the CO said okay read it. The man could not pronounce hardly anything in this letter and was denied.
TJ, as Gowon said ask your fiance' to go over every single question, his response and even the demeanor of CO. this is why the interview reviews are so vital and really would help if told by the vantage point of the one interviewed.

I agree with Girl from Celebes. The lack of earnings in itself is not a problem as you can always try to find a co-sponsor, but marriage is a big responsibility, and you both need a place to live, food, all that. There are visa fees and AOS fees to take into account. And while I hate to sound paternalistic and condescending, at 19, you might be a bit young for this, to have someone move across the world to marry you (just my own personal opinion). Could you move there with another type of visa, student maybe?
You're not better off marrying spontaneously either, unless you do that in Australia and then file for a spousal visa instead of a fiance visa. Doing it in the US, when you went there for a visit or with some other type of visa, will be considered immigration fraud.
Also, I am assuming that even though you're so young, you've met in person in the last 2 years?

She needs to have a letter from her employer and pay stubs to show as supporting evidence of the Affidavit of Support. Current income matters more than tax returns, so you'll be ok.

According to your time line your visa was approved in January, waited the max to use it, then another nearly 90 days?

SparklePony got a reaction from Zeeshanish in Questions about various photos
Trying to help as much as possible:
    1) I went to my local photo place, asked for passport-style photos and gave them the 2x2 specifications. They have a fancy touch-screen machine where they put the memory card from the camera and tell the machine what they want printed. Turns out the machine had the US specifications available on the menu (actually, they had a bunch of countries available), so they just went with that. The machine printed a big sheet and they used a paper cutter to separate the various pictures. Maybe see if something like that is an option for her?
I've also seen posts of people who printed the photos on their own printers, on high-quality photo paper, and cut them up themselves, and apparently had no issues with that. There are a bunch of examples of do's and don't do's on the official visa website. Maybe take a look at those to get an idea of how you can cut your own photos?
    2) Yeah, you should be able to cut them up. What they're looking for a standard size image that allows for frontal face recognition and is correct in terms of size and colors.
    3) I don't think exact dates for the photos of your trip to Norway are critically important. I would say month and year is fine. Remember, photos are only secondary evidence anyway. What's most important are passport stamps and boarding passes, to prove that you went there. The photos are supporting evidence of that.
    4) 2-5 photos are a guideline. Plenty of people send more, but you don't need to overload them with pictures. 6 is fine, but again, remember that photos are just secondary evidence. They're not going to deny you the petition simply because you sent one "extra" photo.
    5) You send a copy of the package to your fiancee because she might need to show some of those documents at the Embassy, when she goes in for her interview. It also serves as back-up, yes, but the main reason is they might ask for the documents.
    6) Read, read, read. There is a wealth of information on this website. Look through the guides. There's a great RFE pinned thread that has some great nuggets buried in it. Worth to read the entire thing, in my opinion.
    7) You don't have to re-pay fees. If you mess something up, you'll receive an RFE notice, a Request For Further Evidence. It simply means your process gets put on hold until you supply them what they need. I read somewhere that K1 visas have a 95% approval rate, and from all my research, the ones that don't get approved are from people who either don't qualify (for example, they haven't met in person in the previous 2 years of filling the petition), or there's some sort of huge red flag (police issues, for example).
    8) From what I know, it's not a tough process. Norway is not considered a high-fraud country (meaning, it's not a country where the rates of fraud immigration cases are high), so in that aspect, you guys are ok. Plenty of success rates for many. There's a same-sex thread that might help. As for the hyperventilation, I think that goes away once you're married.
Good luck, and hope this helped.

SparklePony got a reaction from Asia in income requirement ... enough or need a co sponsor pls help
For the K1 visa, using form I-134, it's 100%. However, for AOS you'll need form I-864 and it's 125% for that one, so a lot of Embassies choose to just use the 125% from the very beginning as it will be what is required later down the road.
