need to know why the denial

Interview was Sep 25 and denied. Failure to convince co of bonafide relationship. I called nvc today to ask if they received our case back. (we are considered to be in admin processing right?) They said they have no info because it was forwarded to immigration and she gave me the number. When I call the number there are no options to talk to a person. We plan to marry and refile but I need to tie up loose ends and I need to find out why the denial. How do I find out? How do I get a person on the line? Thanks.

Yes... That generic failure to convince of a bonafide relationship (in spite of 3 yrs of evidence). They said I would be getting a letter (email?) But I haven't.

I think considering they weren't convinced that it was a bonafide relationship, that your best bet is to get married, spend as much face time together between now and the next interview and Im sure everything will be fine. Were there any of the so-called "red flags"? which I really hate that term and the fact that they stereotype what a relationship should be and if it's not within what 'they' feel is the norm, then it must not be real! so craze.

That's what we're going to do. Get married and I'll be there when he's interviewed this time.

Good idea, that way if they have any doubts, hopefully you can put them to rest! Good luck and hang in there!

Well if it was a UR1/CR1 and goung back there usually is a laundry list of things (NOID/NOIR) that the coupke would have to address and show evidence to counterpoint each denial point.

But for K1's usually what you got on 221g is all you will get. You can of course file the FOIA form and maybe get some info. Aso involve your cingressman/Senator and ask them to look into it also,

But usually that generic explanation will be all you get upfront and will never know.

Usually failure to convince to immigration means you need more time to marinate back you go and come back you will than convince us you are real and we approve.

If you've grilled your Husband on the interview I think you Guys should have an understanding of what the hang up was. If not work on it until you do.

For me, after listening to forum elders (Nigerian savvy ones, not Sweden, Australia, or other low fraud VWP places with non insane COs) I went forward and got married.

I filed out a FOA, they just sent me back the same denial letter that they gave my Fiancee but on a shiny CD with cool looking USCIS logos.

I contacted my Congressperson, I was between Congressperson so no help at that time.

I contacted two Senators, one was completely ineffective to the point of telling me that my Fiancee needed to prove ties to Nigeria?????

The other Senator just sent me a copy of the denial letter.

So al lthose were a waste and thankfully I never was waiting for them.

I did get the expiration notice about a week before my I-130 was approved, also glad that I wasn't waiting for them.

I think the salvation is going to be in figuring out if any sane reason why they could have come up with a non bonafide stuff.

I know what mine was and it was an error by my Fiancee.
