No offense to all Philippines people but USCIS should be really careful with Philippines ladies that US citizens bring to the US and they fall in a scam. This isnt the first incident I read in here nor the 10th!! Please before falling in the "exotic" " not your typical american" type of girl straight away, make sure she is the RIGHT WOMAN. If you be careful, you will save yourself tons of money and headache. Philippines is a poor country and high fraud so OPEN your eyes. This is a message for everyone and not just the OP. NO OFFENSE to any other people from the Philippines who came here with good intentions but we cannot just NOT talk about this. It became a new fashion and its very disturbing. I think rising awareness should be no offense to anyone.
    Some tips :
    - Meet your Girlfriend more than 2 times before filing K1. Live with her and tell her you want to settle in her country and see what she says.
    - If she asks for a lot of money for her mom, brother and sick friend then open your eyes and see where your money is going (probably to her boyfriend)
    - Meet all her family and always be aware of how they act.
    - If she is in a hurry to move to the USA then that might be a red flag.
    - This is probably wrong but dont give full trust straight away and always make sure you know who she talks with when you are away at work ( she might talk with the other guy she originally came for)
    - Scams happen all the time but rarely you find a smart scammer ( meaning that you are just NAIVE not to notice that).
if anyone has other tips then write them down. this is a serious problem and I hope the OP will find a solution for this.

lol what a story. I have known my husband for 4 years and still no babies yet and you guys going on 2 just after 1 meeting? something is wrong from start to end here. Move on with your life. She is a professional scammer. she will probably come to the USA and stay illegal then adjust status after marriage to an old rich US citizen. IT HAPPENS A LOT.
If you want to revenge then call USCIS right now, call the Embassy and even the POE . If you do that, it will probably hunt her forever if she ever comes here.

    Hi Guys,
I have been a permanent resident here since February. I would like to bring my dog over and I dont know where to start.
I live in NY state. I would like to bring my dog through Lufthansa in September. Would that be possible? What are the steps to make this happen?
My dog is big so he will come in cargo. How much should I expect to pay?
    thanks

I suppose you have the right to change your mind but in all fairness you explaining daily life and responsibilities to him made no difference because he has no reference point. He was never married, does not have kids, has never moved away from home. Ofcourse he is going to be clingy he is homesick, have some consideration. How would you feel if you had to leave your whole life children included and start anew in a foreign country. Okay he may not have children but he had an entire family, it is normal to feel the way he does. You did research? Then why entertain the brother about signing paperwork? If you were so thorough you would know you are not responsible. Obviously you did not prepare yourself realistictly to what he would experience. Now that he is in your face, then he becomes and inconvenience? I feel bad for him but as many have stated he has 90 days to marry or go back to Morocco. I would also take the opportunity to visit family, heck after this outcome I would need the moral support as well. What he does after he leaves your home I suppose is between him and USCIS, I recommend he goes home before the 90 days. All you have to do is report that the marriage did not happen and I am sure they will ask for his location so have the address handy.

I'm surprised people are only talking in favor of the woman, forgetting the man involved too. Did the woman say the man has done something bad to her that she dislikes?
All because she filed for him, so she could just get up one morning and say i don't wanna be with you again so leave? She has the absolute right to do that, but VJers should analyze this issue well. At least you guys have to know what the guy has done because bringing out such harsh conclusions......

Meet him first then decide about the K1. I would say its too early to think about K1 before meeting. I respect online love stories (i myself one of those people who fell in love before meeting my now husband) but meeting the other person will reveal way more of their personality and intentions. Im only saying this out of love and concern for visa journey member's and after reading horrible stories on this forum. Im not saying your boyfriend is gold digger either but its better to be careful than sorry.
After you meet and you decide he is such a great guy then file K1. K1 take 6 to 8 months so you can visit him during the process and by the time he has his interview, you will have a record of two visits, plenty of pictures etc etc

hang in there. RFEs are so frustrating and we never know when we receive one. Try to submit the evidence as soon as possible because your application is put on hold until the day they receive the evidence. Make sure the evidence you are sending is what they are asking for. You can still call them for clarifications.
Unfortunately, RFEs can be sent anytime even on the day of the interview. Nothing to do about it.

You cant work before EAD. No good employer will hire you without EAD anyway unless they will give you less than the minimum wage and no benefits whatsoever. Good luck explaining that to USCIS. Please tell your fiancee to read USCIS website before giving you an advice that can result in your deportation.
