I highly doubt the school is telling you to ask for permission to get married or stop your AOS.

    However,
    - you can't be in F-1 status if you're not actively enrolled in school. Part of the F-1 regulations are that you have to be enrolled as a student
    - you want to gain work experience - do you have employment authorization? Do you have OPT? If not, you'll have to wait until you get your EAD (about 3 months after you file your i-130/i-485/1-765/i-131)
    - have you already submitted your AOS forms? (fill in your timeline!) if not, do this ASAP-http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2
    - if they terminate your F1 status which they should because by not taking classes you can't be in F1 status, you are out of status, but that is forgiven for spouses of USC (which is why it's important to file ASAP)
    - in general, people recommend you stay in status while AOS is pending, so to maintain F1 status by following classes or working on OPT - but that's not an absolute requirement. This is just so in the unlikely event your AOS gets denied, you don't accrue unlawful presence
    - part of your F1 regulations is that you inform them of every change in address, status (including marital status and immigration status) etc. So they have every right to ask you to inform them when you get married or move, because this is how you got to the US in the first place

Bottom line: they can't stop you from getting married or filing for AOS. But if you don't follow the rules for F-1 status, they can terminate your F-1 status.

I can't see how. What should they do call USCIS and say you have been a bad girl and haven't asked for their permission to marry.

I have a feeling, that since you have posted asking us...a bunch of strangers...you already know what you need to do.

No one deserves to be treated that way by their spouse, but he can only treat you that way if you let him. Divorce him, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, heal and move on with your life.

di·vorce dəˈvôrs/ noun   1. the legal dissolution of a marriage by a court or other competent body. "her divorce from her first husband" synonyms: dissolution, annulment, (official) separation "she wants a divorce" verb 1. legally dissolve one's marriage with (someone). "he divorced his first wife after 10 months" synonyms: dissolve one's marriage, annul one's marriage, end one's marriage, get a divorce "her parents have divorced"
    That. Period.

Why don't you try and tell him you have sent USCIS a letter cancelling your process since you won't be needing the visa anymore since he won't come and you will be moving to him. See how he react.

I agree with him lying and buying time to get the 10 yr card. He thinks he can string you along, get the 10 yr card come over never having to step foot inside your home. Then he can bring the 'real' wife.

He can afford a whole wife as you say it because he is lying!

What husband wouldn't want his wife to came and visit and also don't say "hello" to his wife for over a week?

How long have you been married? Maybe he is dragging time so he is sure to get the 10 year GC so he does not have to deal with ROC and prove anything there.

Ask yourself if this is really the kind of marriage you want?

    I second that!
I applied OPT twice(OPT and OPT extension), both of them took nearly 3 months. Also OP, the EAD you get through AOS is not only renewable as long as your AOS is pending, I believe now they also give people 180 days to continue working after the EAD expired so that you can have sufficient time to renew it. Plus, the OPT EAD becomes invalid if you stay unemployment for more than 90 days.  Moreover, the EAD you get through AOS is free. I don't see any reason to go for OPT over AOS EAD.

Locally we recently had a Mosque burn down, not sure if it was arson, but the local Synagogue took them in and allowed them space to worship there. Last check, this arrangement didn't cause Armageddon.

It can be challenging to keep up with as it changes from moment to moment. Yesterday is was Nordstroms and before that Kelloggs,  I wish they would make up their mind, I need clean shorts and breakfast and I am not sure who I am boycotting

People are not UPS or FedEx packages to be sent away; there is nothing you can do to ensure her removal from the US. Your time to do due diligence over your potential spouse was before you helped to bring her to this country, not after.

If you haven't filed for her AoS then she will be out of status and deportable when her I-94 expires. She will also not be able to adjust status through anyone else even if you divorce and she marries another US citizen.

So you trust your brother-in-law without any doubt but not your own wife?
Have you confronted her about it at all?
Sounds like there's more wrong with the marriage than her playing away.

But no, you can't just have her sent back to her home country. She isn't some thing you bought from Amazon that you can return when you want.
You can refuse to file for her AOS, you can report her to ICE (but it will probably end up in a huge file marked 'Angry Spouse' and be forgotten about.

ICE aren't going to show up with shackles to deport every person who has a bad marriage. There's not a thing you can do to force her removal, but she will have problems getting legal status so it will be a life living under the radar.

What you can do is protect yourself against accusations of abuse. Avoid being alone with her.

    hi

it has nothing to do with your taxes, but your immigration situation

debts are irrelevant when immigration comes into play, they don't care if you owe someone

so the answer is no, since you haven't been illegally in the country and been pardoned, or had an amnesty, etc

Pretty soon you will have no media left as Fox is supposedly in the tabloid pile too. Fox fought back against 'the media is the enemy' baloney.
I heard Trump was looking into a news agency, you would love to watch Trump news with a Trump steak after you come from

no, you can't derive citizenship through a stepparent, only through USC biological or adoptive parents

so you aren't a USC and you must fill out the N400 and pass the test
