Actually, you don't have the right to refuse treatment for TB. You do have the right to have a positive TB skin test re-validated by a higher sensitivity test that will either confirm TB or confirm false-positive (in which case you don't need to refuse treatment since they won't want to treat you).
TB is serious. Folks with multi- or extensively-drug-resistant TB (MDR- or XDR-TB) can be involuntarily isolated/quarantined, in order to protect the public health.

You may want to consider contacting: http://casademaryland.org/ - I believe they offer some support for immigrant workers who have had their rights violated by employers.

If you want to get away from IT - consider just going to a temp agency in your area for just general office jobs. You can try different things, and will probably get a permanent offer at some point - it's good if you want to work while retraining for another field.

Of course people lie - there are definitely some trolls on this site. For the most part the NOA2 notices appear true though - the trolls are usually much more transparent and ridiculous. Requesting proof almost sounds like trolling...

So this new person comes to VJ and creates an account to tell us her interview experience and how USCIS thought they were terrorists (???) because they had a couple of "umbrullas", Google Maps and an extra cell phone battery. Supposedly she was asked only one and not 10 (or at least 6) civic questions. Then she asks a few very strange questions, including when can she start working legally and explain that she might not be able to make it to her oath ceremony in a couple of months because they need 4-5 years (?!) worth of savings to make the trip to Boise. Am I the only one who doesn't believe this crazy story (seriously, how do you not know what the Oath Letter is after you have been given one)?
If the story is true - lady, you must go to your oath ceremony or you won't become a citizen.

You may need to look into waivers if it is denied. Report back after your interview, and some folks will point you in the right direction if it goes badly.

You call your accountant and apologize for not making it clear months ago, that you needed the 2013 tax return filed before your wife's interview, and beg him/her to file it ASAP, so your wife can get her visa.
Folks. Don't file extensions on tax returns when you know your spouse's interview is coming up. File early, not late, in these situations.

You can move or visit anywhere within the USA. You cannot adjust your status on your own or with anyone else but your husband. All in all when your I-94 expires (90 days from your entry to the USA) you will be out of status and in the USA illegally.

If you do not want to be with your husband. Divorce and go home.

You need to save your pennies and meet. There's no way around that. You will also never get a work visa for her, because they have many restrictions and requirements and you don't meet them in this situation.
No matter the relationship, you should spend a good amount of real time together before getting married or even considering it.
It does not, thankfully. We have enough poor as it is, we don't need to be willing importing more.
USCIS only cares about your income and assets, as you need to prove that you meet the guidelines for the I-134 and I-864. Her assets and/or income do not matter at all in this equation.

The cost of visiting Mexico isn't expensive in comparison to most other countries. If you can't afford to visit even once, how can you afford to pay for the visa process and to pay for her to travel here to the U.S.?
Step aside from your emotions and use your intellect. Meeting in person and spending time together is the most rational thing to do, even if it wasn't a requirement for the visa.

I have to agree with your statement about the time apart. The thing is, when you're apart, you talk. & when you talk, you get to know each other. The time spent getting to know each other while not being clouded with the emotion that intimacy brings is something indescribable. It's like you learn about the character of the person & your emotions are crystal clear. The things I have learned about Betty's character during this time apart just makes me want her more.
When you're in close physical proximity, you don't see things clearly. I personally believe that a lot of relationships are doomed from the start because intimacy is introduced before true feelings are established. When you're apart, you have no choice but to face the true feelings & see them for what they are. If you grow closer while physically apart, you have found something, & you should do everything humanly possible to close that physical gap.

There is a nice little disclaimer at the bottom of your timeline that explains the estimates:
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
    is past due

As far as abortion - do what you want, don't listen to people on here telling you what to do one way or the other - get a better lawyer though, and thoroughly consider the outcomes of having the abortion/not having the abortion given your circumstances.

Filing the I-130 by itself will do you no good. You have to file the I-485 along with it to have any status in the US.

You've established that you're trying for any visa possible to get to the US, including throwing out a Hail Mary K-1 that any minimal amount of research would tell you wouldn't be approved on grounds you've never met. Very coincidental that you've met not one but two women in the US that you love and just can't be without.
What does a visa denial under INA section 214(b) mean?
This law applies only to nonimmigrant visa categories. If you are refused a visa under section 214(b), it means that you:
Did not sufficiently demonstrate to the consular officer that you qualify for the nonimmigrant visa category you applied for; and/or Did not overcome the presumption of immigrant intent, required by law, by sufficiently demonstrating that you have strong ties to your home country that will compel you to leave the United States at the end of your temporary stay. (H-1B and L visa applicants, along with their spouse and any minor children, are excluded from this requirement.)

Why are you all saying it took him a short time to get his NOA2? It took him 1 year and 1 day. That's far more than the normal waiting period from NOA1 to NOA2.
This entire process from start to end can take anywhere from 12 - 16 months.

Oh, I see.. he/she switched around the date of the NOA1. It's Sept 3rd, not March 9th, right?
