    Good morning,

I am trying to gather paperworks to present to USCIS as they requested more evidence.

I know having joint account in bank can be very important proof that our marrige is in good shape.

However, if we print out statement from the time I joined my husband's account, the amount of

papers needed will be huge! I don't really want to print out everything.

Requirement for RFE is "Copies of bank statement that reflect joint/savings and /or checking

accounts to include the transaction pages for each bank statement period".

You think will it be ok not to provide banking information, but we will provide joint tax return

transcrips and copies of lease of apartments we lived in the past?

I can probably ask bank a document stating my name is on my husband's account. But

USCIS may not see as a proof.

If it helps, we originally just provided the first page of our most recent statement, and it was part of what we got an RFE for.  They want to see that the account has been in both your names and used for the duration of your marriage.  I had the same conundrum as to if I should print everything from the history or not.  In the end I just did 2 statements from each year, I think June and December and when we got to this year I think I did March and the most recently available one.  They were apparently satisfied with that as our petition to remove conditions was approved.

  2. It's been a while since I've been here at the ol' board.  I just wanted to post a status on where we're at in our journey.

After exactly 1 year passed since we sent in our form for Removal of Conditions we received an RFE.  I'm glad we actually got it because not once through the whole year and to this date did our case status update online.  USCIS was apparently of the opinion that we put in exactly one half of an ###' worth of effort in the original package.

We got as much of what they requested we could and responded to the RFE.

Today in the mail we received this.  Thank you to the Post Office for leaving our mailbox open a crack in the pouring rain and soaking it for us first.

Can somebody send his passport to him?

That was my very first thought and suggestion, since the key words in the telling were it didn't arrive in time for the departure, but was supposedly forthcoming.

Go to Canada, cross the land border with proof of citizenship.

What proof would he need, not having a US passport?

Not a smart move by the friends uncle

Certainly not.  Supposedly he was assured he was told it would be fine by the departure staff, but pinky promises, hope, and well wishes don't matter to immigration matters.

  4. Good evening folks,

I have an acquaintance with a unique situation I wanted to see if anyone here had any ideas on.

My understanding of the situation is this:

His uncle, who is a naturalized US Citizen traveled to Scotland recently, but before he left did not receive his US Passport in time, and instead traveled using a previously issues British passport.  It worked fine for flying out, however coming back to the US, he's not allowed to get on a flight since he doesn't have a US passport.

He's been to the embassy, and at current they're requiring a passport or official papers certifying him as a US citizen to be mailed from the US to the UK which could take days to months.

Are there any options a US Citizen without a proper use passport might have other than trying to make appointments online to be able to go to the embassy and be told they can't help him right now?

This is a "just the facts, ma'am" passing on of the situation.  It may be that it just has to play out at the embassy however it's going to but I figured if anyone would have any other possible options they would be here.

hi all, I'm working on a job application through an online system for a big employer. The standard form asks whether the applicant is eligible to work in the US, which I've seen countless times before. Then it also asks for A-registration number. I have a GC so I have this number, but I feel uncomfortable giving it out. Is it even legal to ask for this information? Mind you, it's just an application, I haven't even gotten an interview yet.

I don't want to have my app rejected outright, but I'm also reluctant to give out such personal numbers that go to who knows what people. You'd never see an application that asks for your SSN, either. Thoughts?

Employers are required to have an I-9 on file, which would ask if you're an alien authorized to work and require either your Alien Registration number, Form I-94 Admission number, or Foreign Passport number.

They ask for it to determine if you're even eligible to work in the country before they waste time and resources on the interview process.

  6. I been living in the US for about 27 years now and am still illegal due to several issues.
To make long story short I came here when I was 16 YO.
I got married to a US citizen in 1992, have US citizen 2 daughters
In 2002 an attorney used a hardship waiver to bringe me into the US legally
I had about 3 or 4 appointments at the Juarez Consulate in Mexico
On the last appointment the consular officer said the I had admitted to her that I claimed US citizenship to re-enter several times into the US.
I responded that I did not say such a thing, my English then was a little broken, and we argued back and forth to no avail
She just said: "you are now inadmissible in the the US for false claim", then motioned her hand to the next person in the line and said "next"
When she said that, Mine and my wife's world fell apart
Since then I re-entered illegally to reunite with my family but I don't know what to do
Question: are any of you familiar with a case such as mine? what can be done in this case?
    thanks

0% chance to ever become legal.

Time to move the family to southern Texas and make yourself comfy in Mexico. They can visit you there once a month or whatever is fiscally reasonable.

  7. Please I need an answer to this issue,

Sometimes ago I met an agent that help me applied for USA visa under B1/B2 and he used wrong profile for me and the visa was denied after 2 years I decided to apply again and use my real profile, fortunately for me I got the visa and I was travelling to USA but the visa was revoked when I got to Qatar by one America agent that dictated that I have 2 profile with them and my visa was revoked under 22 CFR 41.122 My question is that can I apply again for B1/B2 visa or am I band for life from obtain USA visa.please advise me.

You're likely rightfully banned from the US for life.

  8. Hi guys,

I just sent my wife's n400 package to Arizona and package supposed to deliver to USCIS toda, unfortunately there was absolutely zero activity on tracking,

    Should I worry about this?

This is constant issue with the post office. Every single one of our immigration forms and items was marked as Delivered, but didn't show up for 3 or more days later. They do it to make it seem like they're not providing rubbish service so they can say "look how quickly we got this here!" on their tracking stats.

Go to the post office and make a big stink, you'll probably get it the next day.

  9. Hi everyone,

I would like if someone could help me find out how I can get the amount that my flat is worth in Egypt. I'd like to use it as an asset later on my I-864. I know how much my flat was worth 4 years ago when it was bought, but how can I find out the actual worth presently? I was told by a friend an estimate, but I want something more legit since I will use I intending on using it an asset for the I-864.

    Thanks.

    Pay for an appraisal.
