I completely understand.
As mentioned earlier K-1 is not an immigrant visa.

Looks like it (except H-2)..
NYT states "A formal order temporarily barring new green cards and work visas could come as early as the next few days"... doesn't say what type of green card (family or employment) but I'll bet he blocks everyone.

My husband got the Cr1 visa stamp on his apassport. We just need to fly out and into the USA. Does this affect us as well?? Can this get any harder on us?
Fly to US tomorrow.

Thanks. I'm one of the banned people. My husband is in Houston and I'm in Toronto having just filed the I-130 application in January. From the NYT article, it sounds like they won't process my application at all now. If it's suspended for a few weeks, fine. If all of us foreign resident spouses who are in the application process for I-130s are going to be denied simply because of an executive order, where do we end up? I know we have to wait until the morning, but this is just...
My K1 was delayed 8 months because of DACA (and was only approved with an expedite request because my mother was ill) so if it's not this it could be something else, delays are historically part of this whole process. This will pass and everything will work out for you, just be patient which I know is hard.

I wouldn't panic over this, whether you are out of the country waiting for K1 approval, or in the country waiting for a green card etc, the immigrant process has been delayed historically for years with progression and regression due to many factors, it just means a delay, and the one thing I can say after going from K1 in 2013 to Naturalization in 2017 is don't stress about things you can't control (government bureaucracy, death and the weather) and just let things happen when they will happen. 99% of you will all be approved *eventually* for whatever you are applying for in the end, worrying and stressing won't change your outcome one bit. Yes it's emotionally draining, but just be patient which is better said than done.

K-1 is a nonimmigrant visa actually.
yes technically it is for the 90 days, but the result is an immigrant with a green card and possible naturalization so who knows.

i'm in that boat, wondering the same thing. visa already issued in passport, just haven't stepped foot in the country
From my understanding his directive will temporarily suspend all immigrants from entering the US. But don't panic that won't last forever, and would be canceled under a new administration anyways.

How are you certain about this? He's saying it's to protect jobs. People who are already here but not yet working because they don't have an EAD would potentially take jobs away from citizens. He says CITIZENS. So what about people like my fiance, already here on a work visa? Or green card holders looking to remove conditions? Or people with an EAD? Waiting for an EAD? Waiting to AOS? They aren't citizens.
The main thing is significant others are already on US soil, I think most of this is in his tiny head right now and hasn't been fully thought out, so even if there is a delay in EAD, AOS, Naturalization, Green cards etc for those on US soil already it's not as bad as having your loved one banned from entering here for the foreseeable future.

What about those in the USA already awaiting adjustment of status?
It only affects those not on US soil (he's trying to protect corona virus from coming to US).

Actually it's not a "few weeks", according to USCIS it takes 30-120 days, we've been waiting so far over a month since paying fee and this is normal.
-
Had interview yesterday at Juarez and passed Just be patient it takes forever nothing anyone can do about it, you WILL get an interview date assigned, once USCIS send them the paperwork you're looking at a MINIMUM of 10 weeks to get an interview assigned, and they usually schedule interviews 6 weeks after that so just hang tight!

Nvc does not care who send the documents. However, whoever sent them, have to include all the required documents. And the IV documents are about beneficiary. Even though petitioner mails documents to NVC, petitioner still have to get those from beneficiary.
i don’t think you want to know about the information for helping your application process. If you are here just for argument, I think we should stop here. People here just try to help those who really care and want to know. Thank you.
Hon, I've already completed the entire IR5/I-130 process, my point is the beneficiary doesn't have to "mail" documents to the NVC, they can e-mail photocopies to the petitioner in the United States and they can send in printed copies to New Hampshire, it's a fallacy to suggest the beneficiary has to go a post office somewhere in Nepal or wherever and mail something to the NVC. Cheers.

As for any other country, described under Step 4 (financial) and Step 5 (supporting) at travel.state.gov.
However, these documents shall be submitted using Method 4: Mail processing - no other option available.
More details here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc.html
We are all talking about separate things here, I know documents need to be mailed to NVC, however in most cases the beneficiary has nothing to mail to NVC if the petitioner is supporting the beneficiary, as the beneficiary has to bring original documents to the interview.

What documents does NVC require the beneficiary to mail to them?

Base on other members‘ posts, I guess NVC create the case number for those case they received on Feb 6th and 7th rightnow. Hang in there guys. It will be our turns soon.
They will create a case 2-3 weeks after they receive it from USCIS.

Whichever is not on the other lists (in the link). Usually the beneficiary will send all the necessary documents to petitioner, and petitioner will submit them with the AOS package. I don’t know if the beneficiary can scan and email to the petitioner or not. But my family mail the documents to me (via UPS it only takes couple days to get it)
I ran the codes and couldn't find any countries on the list except for about 10, weird, anyways electronically is the best bet.

What country does NVC require a beneficiary to snail mail documents to the US?

This link shows the different ways of submitting NVC documents, and which country uses which method,
That has to do with case number and visa category not country of beneficiary.

Some cases can do online, some have to mail in. Depend on the country.
What country of a beneficiary needs to mail paperwork to the State Department in the US?

If I remember, Obama granted about 800k people with unlawful residency in the US a 2 year period of deferred action from deportation and eligibility for a work permit in the U.S, that's not much of a script to follow and perhaps another Prez in November will have similar insight.
