Your points are valid and can be constructive if PHRASED properly... there is no need to scold the OP for the way they phrased their particular question.
To the OP... TraumaDoc is accurate in their response so I can't disagree. Of course anyone can look for work. But your fiance isn't eligible to work yet so it is a bit of a waste of his/her time and I would consider it a bit disrespectful to the person doing the hiring to lead them to believe this is someone who is available to start work immediately for a posted job when that is not the case at all. I know I would be quite angry to receive an application for a position I'm hiring to only find out that person can't even work any time soon. I would say it is a good idea to start exploring what is available but certainly not to apply for anything. Just as TramaDoc said.

I'm close to that example. I came on a weekend for a visit and completed my POE but then went right back to Canada for another 10 weeks before making the permanent move.

Ms Hogan got a reaction from NikLR in Question about medical photo..
You are supposed to be providing AMERICAN passport photos, not Canadian. That is the difference. I had mine wrong initially as well and had to get another set when I realized not all passport photos were the same size! Annoying!
I don't know if the medical will reject them but the ones for your green card definitely will need to be the correct size.

Did you ROE say you were moving to be with your spouse? I remember that being a very important part when I applied for mine. Fortunately I was the one doing payroll at the time where I worked so I was able to make sure they ROE stated it clearly.
I know other K1 applicants needed to wait for their EAD in order to actually get their EI approved. I'm guessing this is your case as well. You aren't eligible to work in America and you aren't eligible to work in Canada because you aren't there anymore, right? Have you actually moved? Did you apply too soon?
Others have appealed it as NLR suggested you can do but you will need to be eligible to work first.

I also can't believe that anyone would want to test the system. What a risk to take for such an important piece of your life.

The pain and frustration is still very current for you but you really will forget all of this sooner than you think. Once you get started on your life with your significant other, in the same place, where you can reach out and actually touch them when you want to... it will be a memory that fades. Eventually all of this raw emotion will simply become a small part of your big life together that you can finally start! Congratulations on your approval.

Ms Hogan got a reaction from NancyNguyen in RFI Updates do happen on USCIS website
Most people would agree with you in that the only update that happens is when it changes to say the card is in production. You RFE wasn't updated, the status of your card production is what changed. People are usually explaining that when they send items in response to an RFE that no update happens letting them know that they have been received or accepted etc. The case ending and card being produced seems to be the only time that the updates happen if they happen at all.
Perhaps I misunderstood your post but did your status change when the RFE was requested? OR did it change when they received your response? Or did it only change when the card was being produced as the result of your case now being complete?

It would be helpful to other members if you took some time and updated your account to show which part of the process you are in. It says AOS under your profile still.

Spend some time looking through this particular forum. Look at the month you filed your documents in and add yourself to the list there. You can then compare yourself to the rest of us who are going through the process and get a better idea of wait times.

But you are not here legally anymore. You have overstayed. I don't believe you have any options, especially not to bring your wife and children here as you have no status under which to make a petition.

Well I must share that I recently had a phone call from my son's teacher because he was in the hall at the end of the day getting ready for dismissal when he declared...
    "WEDGIE TIME!!!"
It was not well-received by his teacher... his classmates however found it to be quite hilarious. I also found it funny but had to pretend that it wasn't so when the teacher called. He is 9!

It helps us if you provide dates.
You will receive a letter with your biometrics appointment after you received your NOA. For me, it was very soon after. For others, it took a few weeks.
The number you need for checking your case status is the one that comes on the biometrics letter. Please read your NOA again. It says so right on it.
    Hang in there!

Ms Hogan got a reaction from Firey witch in Filing a documents for permanent GC, if did not get conditional GC
I am not sure how to deal with your payment problems BUT the green card you get will be determined when you do your POE. When you enter, if you have already been married 2 years or longer you will get IR-1 which means you will not need to worry about removing conditions after two years of living here. If you enter before you reach your two year anniversary then you will be given a conditional card and have to remove those conditions at the second anniversary of your entry.
So if you are in the middle of your process you just carry on as you are. When you enter your card (2 year or 10 year) will be determined at that time.

I'm also confused about what you're applying for. Your profile says K1. Are you applying for finance visa or spousal????

YES! It is first-come, first-served. I don't know how to pull up old posts but when I was going through the process we had discussed it at length a lot. Anyone who was going at that time went early as possible and got to the front of the line. I think mine is written in length under my review... maybe? I don't recall but there was no way I wasn't getting that first spot! Even my little kids knew they had to stay right on my heels that morning! My husband went first and we joined him in line. It was early but it was worth it to get in there!

Ms Hogan got a reaction from VeeNDee in Can we use any border crossing as a POE?
Which crossing will you be using?
And I just had another thought, depending on when and where you decide to go you might take a moment to check to see if it is Spring Break or March Break where you will be. The border crossings are usually extra busy and frustrating at those times. And Easter long weekend coming up, too.
Just some extra stuff to keep in mind. Good luck with everything!
