Yes.  It's been years though, more than 3, hes been an LPR for 8 years.   But neither of us knew.  I'm always the one handling whatever "administrative" tasks we do, so I'm probably the one who missed it. It was a complete mistake though, he would never had registered or even voted if we knew it was a crime. 

Please someone advise.  In the middle of filling out application and when asked if my husband registered to vote or hadls ever voted, I panicked and never knew this was illegal until just now.  

Here may be some helpful links depending on the state where you reside.  I agree with @milimelo, your husband should get himself removed from the voter registry as soon as possible.  If he actually did vote in a federal election, and possibly even in a state or local election, you may want to consult with an attorney.

ugh! I feel like pulling my hair out! Yesterday morning I got an e-mail saying that they ave accepted my case for expedite, and for ny further information to contact the embassy.
So today I try to call the embassy to know, well, you know... whats next? since I have the whole NVC process down by heart, but I dont know what to do in this case.
Anyways, I cant get through to an actual person at the embassy, just automated messages. Anybody else who has had epedite know what I need to do or anything that might help a little? I feel so blind right now.

Just throwing this out there... How come they hire a whole bunch of people to take care of petitions for "illegal aliens" but they give a jack about us law abiding citizens that are going about this the right way?
I have nothing against people who have migrated illegally, but since it affects me I have a big issue with the whole immigration system that has their priorities all messed up.
Why dont they hire a bunch of new people at NVC also to speed up review time and interview scheduling, and help all people equally?

I know you guys are probably tired of hearing me say this... and Im sorry, but I dont know if I should worry or not....
Im told to call and get ds261 reviewed to get IV fee invoiced... well I've been calling all week and the only thing they tell me is "is hasn't been added to the case and I can't make any changes"
So do I just keep asking that same thing? or do I sit tight and wait another week?

I have gotten through twice to NVC to try and get my agent form reviewed and both reps told me it was locked and they cant change anything... is this normal? should I wait till next week like they said or do I call and ask for supervisor review? what exactly do I need to do?

Just recieved my NOA2 email this morning, cant wait to move on toe NVC and finish this whole nightmare! Congrats on all CC's!!

Dont do k3! I dont want to sound bossy, I submitted for k3 after i130 because I wanted it to be faster, and instead it made it alot slower, I just got my NOA2 after more than 7 months of waiting, just stick with the cr1 and it will be better.

I agree, they are people, they have emotions, I wish that just for a second they could feel what we go through, maybe they would be a little more down to earth, and compassionate.

I wish it were like that, I could already be with my sweet hubby
