There is more to the story, OP only found out about marriage when husband was filing for his daughter who lives outside of US, and he put marriage on her petition.
OP, you have to know regardless of a bonafide marriage, the deceit from your husband complicates your benefits. You said it in previous posts, that you had no clue he had been married, and he never put it in your petition. Now the IO has to verify the marriage, and the divorce to ensure you are eligible for the benefits you have received.

It's just not the way I was raised. You want something you work for it. You save your money. Handouts were only if you were seriously in trouble like medical needs, father lost his job, etc. If you don't have the money for something then you don't do it. You can't afford a $50,000 wedding then you go to the courthouse.
