Neela & Jitu got a reaction from MohU3 in N-400 February 2019 Filers
Go to your oath ceremony if you know the date and place regardless of not getting the letter in mail. When you go there just tell them you did not receive the letter(could be lost in the mail) & they might assist you cause they have your name on the list.

Neela & Jitu reacted to NikLR in Dual Citizenship - Yay or Nay?
I'll be honest, I don't want to vote in this country. Until they clean up their political act (which I doubt will ever happen in my lifetime) I don't care to. Choices are far too limited IMHO.

Neela & Jitu reacted to ForgottenNotes in USCIS website doesn't work
Guys check the website again. They re did the site with a new look. Seems convoluted and just plain confusing to me though. I liked the old site, much more simpler and easy to read.
But yeah I get the same error when I try to check my case. It should be updated soon.

Because she loves her job & house more than her husband.

Neela & Jitu reacted to kzielu in file N400 while I-751 is still pending
Of course you can assuming you meet all other N400 requirements (3 years of marriage, 3 years - 90 days of permanent residency).
Answer above is incorrect and makes zero sense.

Neela & Jitu reacted to Krikit in My wife hates everything here.
I would just like to try to shed a light on the "I hate" bit. What she is hating is the loss of everything she knows; and that includes her independence. She is just choosing the wrong words to express it.
-
Neela & Jitu reacted to Rich and Wen in My wife hates everything here.
Are you in the city or suburbs? My wife asked this. If your wife came from the city, the suburbs will be difficult for her. Give her some autonomy, control over her own life. Find out what public transit goes near your home, if any, and make sure she can travel to Chinatown or visit her friends while you are not available. Buy a transit card, auto reloadable so she will not run out of rides while she is away from home. Give her some cash to spend as she chooses.
Remember, your wife was a fully functioning adult in China. Now she has put herself in your hands, and the dynamic between you is more of parent/child, since she is dependent on you for everything. You must be more supportive than you ever thought possible, more understanding than you are used to, and more accepting than ever. You brought her over here, now you must man up and help her in the way she needs to be helped. "You help your wife=you help your marriage=you help yourself" That is a direct quote from my wife.
Your marriage depends on this.

Neela & Jitu reacted to thedude6752000 in The other side of deportation: An American struggles to prepare for life without husband
Absolutely wrong. Her reunification path is the same as mine now, with 1 added extra step, "payback" if you like for the 15 years he got off Scott free. She now has to file an I-130, like everyone else, and then when it comes times for the interview he'll get denied on the basis of his travel ban and then she'll have to appeal the denial with a hardship waiver, which will probably be granted if done correctly. Why should we have to wait in line and deal with the embassy, AP, etc. and she should not?????

Neela & Jitu reacted to RhettVoe in The other side of deportation: An American struggles to prepare for life without husband
If the United States allowed all visa overstayers and EWIs to remain here, with a green card, what sort of message would that send to the illegals currently living in the US without permission....within moments, our churches, chapels and city halls would have lines going around the block 15 times...in the meantime, all those waiting their turn to immigrate LEGALLY but outside the US...do what? Fume? To what purpose? What would that say about our current visa laws? Why refuse anyone if all they have to do to gain a green card is marry some USC? What would be the point to maintaining the security of our borders? Just let everyone in...and wait for them to get married.
Sorry, but this guy knew the rules and chose to ignore them (and perhaps others as well)...

The obvious solution would have been for her to go on the plane with him.
But it seems their relationship is not that important.

Neela & Jitu reacted to thedude6752000 in The other side of deportation: An American struggles to prepare for life without husband
Funny how the nightmare everyone is so glad to avoid is the daily reality for hundreds of thousands of American citizens like me, hundreds here on our very own VJ. If he didn't want to be deported, he shouldn't have overstayed the visa. He's getting what he deserves. Anyone who tells CR-1 and IR-1 people to quite whining has to agree with me on this or else they're a total hypocrite. And as usual, no story on the hundreds of thousands waiting without their spouses like me.

Neela & Jitu reacted to Merrytooth in The other side of deportation: An American struggles to prepare for life without husband
He overstayed his student visa for more than 15 years and married a US citizen wife. So why can't he AOS here?
There are also plenty of Americans struggle daily without their spouses or family while going through the immigration process LEGALLY.

I don't believe your case no would be the same as receipt# on NOA1. PeterandRobin also didn't get the Bio letter still he get his case # from them.
Tier 1 employees go by the book. If you talk to 3 different Tier1 people, each will give you 3 different answers. So you cant really rely on them. Try calling them on Tuesday and demand to talk to tier 2 people. If you are lucky you might get a hold of them. good Luck.

Islamic? Says who, you? Let's lay the blame where it really lies, sexual jealousy and not where you think it might, Islamic culture. You have zero evidence for your claim.

Neela & Jitu got a reaction from Caryh in I-751 April 2014 Filers
If you have time to be on hold for at least 2 hours, call USCIS today or tomorrow. Talk to a human. Tell them you want to talk to Tier 2 people.
Keep in mind there are few people there who don't like to transfer your call to Tier 2. In that chase hang up. Call them again and ask for tier 2.
If you get to talk to Tier 2, ask them is there any case number for you and when is your Bio Appointment since you didn't get your Bio letter yet.
Let us know what's the outcome & Good Luck!!!
