Hi! I will start working on mine. Did you files online or paper?

I did online. It was SUPER easy and fast. I actually received a case update the day after I submitted it saying I was scheduled for biometrics.

Was super happy to not have to do a paper version.

Did you filed online or paper??? I’m undecided. Lol. Everyone says online is easier but I’m still unsure. 😅

Just out of curiosity, why are you unsure about filing online vs. paper?

You don't have to wait for USPS delivery of the package, etc. Also, in your USCIS account after you apply, it will show you a list of every attachment you uploaded as evidence, and will actually show you the official N-400 filled out based on the online application. And it seems you will also get a soft copy of any documents USCIS sends you (biometrics letter, etc).

I guess because all my submitted documents  have been the old fashion way (paper) and maybe I’m thinking In the back of my head that is so easy  to be true to just file online, specially with those questions when N/A is the only answer. I guess I’m afraid to do something wrong I looked at the paper application and it looks very complicated 😪.

But now that you mentioned about that soft copy of documents and how the application will look like afterwards is giving me a peace of mind.

 Can you review before submitting?

So that is a benefit, it does all the N/A stuff for you. You don't have to worry about leaving something blank, or wondering if you need to put N/A on the form.

As soon as you start the N-400 process online, you have 30 days to complete it. You don't have to do it all at once either. It saves after each answer, so if you need to come back to it, you can.

At the end (and prior to paying), it gives you a complete review of all the answers so you can make sure you submitted everything correctly.

You can actually go ahead and start playing with it online, and start filling in some of the answers to see if you are comfortable with it. You don't pay until the very last step when you are submitting.

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov is the website. if you haven't created an account, that would be step one.

Once you're logged in, click the My Account drop down, and then click File a Form Online, then choose N-400.
