If your K-1 beneficiary moves to another country while the K-1 is in process, how do you make sure the paperwork gets to the new country's consulate? Do you just call the NVC and have them re-route the paperwork to the updated consulate? Is there a fee or more paperwork involved? Can't figure out if this is a relatively simple/straightforward process regardless of COVID since everything is shut down anyways or if this is normally a giant pain in the butt to do and would only be worse to do now.

Amount and nature of evidence for 3 year filing

My husband is going to apply for citizenship next month under the three year rule (we're very lucky that his 90 day window happens to open before the fee hike goes into effect!) and I've been reading lots of threads in this forum. There seems to be conflicting opinions about the amount of relationship evidence needed at filing vs. at the interview. We're planning to just submit a good deal of relationship evidence at filing because we already have it and it can't hurt.

But in terms of the nature and amount of evidence - it seems like a lot of people on the forum feel that the N-400 evidence is "simpler" and only hard financial evidence is needed compared to AOS and ROC. So, things like bank statements and bills are good, but there's less need for things like photos or receipts from vacations. I've also seen people say that the quantity of relationship evidence doesn't need to be as intense for N-400 as it is for AOS and ROC - for instance, a couple bank statements and utility bills per year rather than most of the statements for each year.

Is this generally the consensus? It would be great to reduce the amount of stuff I need to hunt down, and also reduce the amount of printing we need to do for interview!

It's officially been a year since my last AOS status update. Should I be concerned?

I'm a WA resident, awaiting a green card interview. I had my biometrics etc. over a year ago and today is officially 365 days since my last case status update which still says "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview".

Is this normal? Are things just taking longer because of COVID? I can't work out how to check what the 'current date' of AOS cases being processed is as I can never remember which service centre or whatever mine is being sent to. I think it's the National Benefits Centre in Lee's Summit MO?

Anyway, let me know if anyone has any advice/info on how much longer this might all take.

Thanks.

Step children and travel ban

Myself and child (who s 6) have our interview in the UK shortly. CR1 and CR2. My worry is that even if we re granted these visas, will my son still be able to travel into the states under this travel ban. I ve had people saying no because he s a step child of the US citizen. And people say he can because he ll have a CR2 visa and would be a LPR. However on the London embassy website it says You re not an LPR until admitted to the states and until that point it s just an approved immigrant visa.
had anyone traveled with step children from the U.K. during this time and been allowed in? I m petrified of being turned away after giving up our home etc here.

Hi,

We received a case update today saying our interview has been cancelled, it was previously at Interview to be Scheduled .

I contacted USCIS as soon as I saw and they said they didn t have any information and to just wait for an appointment letter, very unhelpful.

Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks in advance!
