I am going to be filing by N-400 next month and I just came across a moment of confusion. I will be applying under the 3 year rule for spouses of US citizens. One of the questions asks about trips outside of the US in the past 5 years, and whether they were 6 months or longer. I had a trip in 2016 that was 6.5 months, but this was before I became a permanent resident (January 2018). Do I still list everything from the last 5 years, even though I am filing under the 3 year rule? I would assume the answer is yes, but that it would be noted that years 4 & 5 don't really apply since spouses of US citizens only need a 3 year continuous residency and therefore nothing is broken... (I will be applying online, so when I say on the very first page I am applying under 3 year rule, does the question later in the form change to reflect? I have been looking at the paper forms)

Hi all, We submitted my AOS package May 26th (I-485, I-765 & I-131). I may need to visit home in the UK soon as my step mother has terminal cancer & doesn't have long left. Can anyone tell me their experiences with applying to expedite the I-131 due to a family emergency? I have asked before over the phone with USCIS and they are very vague and not helpful. Do I need to supply proof of my step mothers condition? How long could it take if I choose to apply for expedition? Many Thanks

Hello! I booked an interview with the United States Embassy in London yesterday for 30th September (this was the latest date possible.) We booked the medical, hotel, train, etc etc in adjacent to this. I am out about 250 on train and hotel alone (as I have to go to London twice, both tickets costing me around 100) I was expedited and gave instructions on booking interview, I got the email from the NVC which sounded a bit like a placeholder. Can I just rebook through the website due to it being expedited? This is very upsetting. Thank you. This is still showing up too saying Attend Appointment... very confused. I do have the opportunity to reappoint it on the website, but the latest one is the 23rd My medical is the 21st...

Morning all, can someone advise us if we re doing this right. My wife is here on k1 visa, at her medical exam in London all the test was don except the flu jab, she refused another at the medical cause she had just taking one three weeks prior. Her form 3025 was processed & sent to the embassy for her interview, but she was told at the medical she will need it fo her AOS. Nothing was mentioned as regards the the Jab at her interview. We re Sending the AOS this week, should we just take the flu shot get the record and include it with our copy of form 3025? we will appreciate ur response. Thank you.

Hi there, My wife (US citizen) and I (UK citizen) were DQed on 07-May-20 for our (non-expedited) CR-1 visa. The NVC worked with the London Embassy to schedule my visa interview on 01-Oct-20. I am unable to attend this date and will need to reschedule it. The London Embassy informed me that I should wait until the day of my original interview has passed. Then, I will be able to log in and reschedule my interview for a later date. I am wondering if anyone has experience with this process. My two main questions are on: 1. Timing: Can I expect to login and find a new slot straight away? Or should I expect to wait up to a few weeks for more slots to appear in the calendar? 2. Queue: Will our DQ date retain our position in the queue ahead of others, or will forfeiting the original interview put us to the back of a long, post-COVID queue? Please note that I am interested in hearing from anyone, regardless of the Embassy involved, although London would of course be wonderful. Thank you very much!
