I'm a J1 (expired) and filed for AOS through marriage from the US.

How accurate do you think the timelines are that they give here?

I had my biometrics appointment on 2/18/21 and just had an email from this site saying they estimate me getting my EAD decision in August. But when I look at other people's timelines, August seems ridiculous. I know that I have to relax with this process and be patient but I'm currently in the constantly-checking-for-updates stage!!

Also, does the USCIS send text alerts when things get updated? If they do, I can stop signing on a hundred times a day and live my life!!

Hello London embassy applicants! Thought i would start a new discussion as to not go off topic on waiting times on other forums. We DQ'd Feb 17th and are hoping for a May interview. With the current rate of the Vaccine rollout her in the UK I believe i may get called for my first dose before/near my interview time. All being well by the time my second dose would be needed I would hope i would be in the states. So I am wondering is anyone likely to be in the same position as me? Have you spoke to your doctor and got any advice? Are you thinking wait till to you get to the states for both doses or just have one here and one there?

Not an opportunity to debate Covid or the Vaccine please! Purely just interested in anyone deciding the same as myself. Much love x

I have just received a letter with my visa interview scheduled.

I submitted some my original documents. (Specifically my ACRO police report from United Kingdom and Canada) with my I-485 adjustment of status packet. I have photo copies of these documents.

will this be alright?

I am really happy to have had my expedite request approved. However it has been 4 days and the status has not changed from expedite request approved (I.e card has been ordered, card is being produced, card is in mail etc etc)

has anyone had a similar situation? Perhaps the card could come without the status updating? or am I now just in another long line?

I have seen people have their expedite approved around the same time as mine and their cards are already in the mail. I m not sure at what point I need to reset my expectations.

expedite request approved 2/22/21

My husband moved over here (US) on a K-1 in 2019. His parents and little brother are coming to visit us from England for 10 days but we just found out that his dad has terminal cancer so now, more than ever we really want them to come visit however the doctors told his dad he d need travel insurance. His parents said they ve been denied by 4 different companies since his cancer is terminal (but I m not sure which ones they ve tried). Any recommendations for a good temporary travel insurance company?
