US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hi,

Trying to understand proof of domicile as we begin filing out the AOS section at the NVC processing stage. My wife (US citizen) currently lives with me in Northern Ireland (applicant). She moved here with me on a fiancee visa January 2019, and we got married May of that year. She is only on a temporary visa, as the goal was always to move back to the states, but wanted to experience living in another country, and I had a house here etc. She has a bank account in the states which she transfers money to and from frequently, she still has voter registration etc. Would she be providing proof of domicile, or proof that she is planning on returning to the US (this is where I don't quite understand the distinction)? We are looking to avoid her moving back to the states, as we have no financial reason to do so, as we have a joint sponsor that more than sufficiently satisfies the requirements.

I am in the middle of my I-751 and wanting to apply for Citizenship. But I have a little dilemma... my British passport is still in my maiden name. Does this have any impact on the application? I was looking to update my passport but with Covid the wait time is longer and I may get called for my interview at any point... it s suck a risk. Does anyone have any insight or advice? I ve never been stopped with my green card having my married name and passport maiden so far. (Touch wood) I am wanting to change it but Covid just simply delayed everything! Any advice would be helpful! Thanks

I have just submitted all of my civil documents via the NVC portal today. However, it's been absolutely brutal for my wife trying to file for taxes. We have a fairly complicated situation so this has dragged on and on.

Is it an issue that I'm submitting civil and financial separately? Will they begin to review documents when they only have one set?

We got married yesterday and were ready to post our full AOS package tomorrow after obtaining the marriage certificate. However, the clerk said that the certificate may take 3 weeks to arrive. My current I-94 is expiring on the 28th of March and I am worried if that I don't send in the package before this date, it may cause issues.

I was thinking, would it be possible to send in the forms without marriage certificate and send when it does arrive?

I have read that overstays are forgiven for spouses of US citizens if under 180 days. Is there a statement or article on the USCIS that confirms this?
