Hello, My Russian fiance has her K-1 visa appointment scheduled for early January 2023 at the U.S Consulate in Warsaw. Has anybody already been through an interview at this consulate? * Will I be able to enter the Consulate and be present with her during the interview? *How long will it take for her to receive her passport back once her visa is approved? If anyone can provide some guidance as to what can we expect that day during the interview, I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Hi there! We do AOS and we got RFE about our income is not enough for sponsor and we should find co-sponsor or submitted additional documents. But we submitted form 1040/2021 with Total income $31070 for 1 person( household size 2) Is it some USCIS mistake or what?

We have been DQ for an IR-1 application since June 30th, 2022 with Frankfurt as our Consulate (140 days ago). I can't shake the feeling that something has gone wrong with our case, because I'm seeing other Visa Journey members' timelines noting a later DQ date (even for Frankfurt, specifically) but have already had an interview scheduled (I'm extremely happy for them all of course ). But I can't help but wonder what is going on with our case that it continues to lag behind. Of note, we have received no communication from NVC about any issues with documents or anything, with the last communication being the DQ email. Is such a long wait time normal for an IR-1 visa interview currently? Checking the "Case Complete to Interview Spreadsheet" on Visa Journey seems to make it out that we are already over double the average wait time for an interview to be scheduled. Is anyone else having a similar experience? Am I going crazy over here waiting? Certainly, but it might help to know whether this amount of waiting for an IR-1 is normal.

Since citizenship has become a factor in 2022 when it comes to travel, it may help to have a dedicated logistics thread for petitioners / beneficiaries attempting to access / leave Russia, Belarus, and other impacted countries in the region for the purpose of eventual travel to the United States. Essentially, a repository of stories of success and incurred hurdles, a library of events related to visa acceptance at border crossings and airline / train / bus companies, and so on. After all, petitioners and beneficiaries still have to get to Warsaw or Frankfurt somehow to go forward with their visa progress, unless they have succeeded with a case transfer elsewhere.
