  1. We were married in Canada. In regards to your question, I’m not sure how they got my birth state mixed up as I provided a birth certificate with the marriage application.
  2. I was compiling back up for our I-130 and noticed a typo on our marriage certificate where the state I was born in is incorrect. It states Dallas, Colorado, USA, instead of Dallas, Texas, USA. I plan to request a revised certificate, but I expect the process will take a while. Does anyone know if this would potentially be an issue?
  3. Tagging on with this one.. when I went to upload this document the file requirements indicate a translation is required. Is that just boilerplate file upload information or does the Information About Beneficiary In Their Native Written Language really require a certified translation as well? Information About Beneficiary In Their Native Written Language If the beneficiary's native written language does not use Roman letters, upload a document with his or her name and foreign address in their native written language. If you have a text or word processing document you would like to submit for evidence, send us a PDF version of the file. When saving your file, select PDF as the file type to save. File requirements Clear and readable Accepted file formats: JPG, JPEG, PDF, TIF or TIFF No encrypted or password-protected files If your documents are in a foreign language, upload a full English translation and the translator's certification with each original document. Upload no more than five documents at a time Accepted file name characters: English letters, numbers, spaces, periods, hyphens, underscores, and parentheses Maximum size: 12MB per file
  4. Hi all, My wife are starting the CR-1 process and curious if anyone knows if it's possible to go through any consulates in Asia (Thailand, China, etc)? She currently lives in far eastern Russia so these options would be much easier geographically. I've emailed the US embassies there and can provide updates, but was curious if anyone else has already looked into or gone this route?
